As a tradie myself, we all dread the days when it goes wrong especially when 99.9% of the time the same job the day before or the day after goes off without a hitch, whats great in this particular situation is you all worked together as a team, bounced it around amongst yourselves and pulled together to achieve the desired outcome. The enormity of the task, the problem, hope to solve it, and the sheer strength to resolve, you all deserved more than Pizza and it bought a smile to all your faces. You all kept going until the job was done, day and night. I loved how you Ollie kept the pragmatic and sense of balance to Justin who’s clearly stressed, and it was a delight to hear him ‘gasp’ as you pulled out the ruffled liner cover on day two, a sense of relief, and I also enjoyed how Ryan has this ability to give to a ‘look’ Back in the 1940s and 50s Bette Davies won Oscars for that ‘look’ and made me chuckle. I don't know what they are called but they look like a wire with little spikes and pull back and forth with both hands. I would imagine it goes faster and you can get under the dirt or between a wall and the pipe. Just a thought. 🤔🤗

Brings back old memories! Prior to retirement, one of my tasks was managing trenchless repair contractors and thier product on behalf of the client. When the process goes well, life is good. But, when the process turns into a train wreak it could be a real pain. Pipe bursting is another option in this case. Keep up the good work down under. Best.

Trying to leave no room for error is right Ollie. Got to do this work quickly and proficiently but problems arose. Glad you had a camera to show what is going on there Ollie. Noticed a lot of beeps to keep the swearing out of the video when problems did arise! The exothermic reaction of the glue can really burn you! One day job ended up taking two. Great job guys! Justin is a trooper! Hope the customer didn't get a heart attack when seeing the bill! LOL

It must be rough when things go wrong but these kinds of videos are my favorite. It tickles that problem solving part of the brain and it’s always interesting to see the creative solutions tradesmen come up with to fix the problem. Any tradesmen can do a good job when everything goes right. It’s when the going gets tough and things don’t go according to plan where truly masterful tradesmen shine.

Example of stuff not going always as planned, even when planned out well in advance. When it rains it pours is such a accurate idiom for life. I think pretty much everyone has been there when working a job, especially a larger one. A lot of channels wouldn't have even have made the video, I think it's great you guys still did and showed the recovery process. Also water and when people get hangry should never be underestimated! Keep that morale high.

I also fix pipes for a living. Different kinda pipes though. Im a vascular surgeon. Ollie, Justin and Ryan... I am in awe at your true dedication to the job. I've had things go south many a times, but for me it usually an extra hour or 3 of operating. Not an entire day and come back the next day to finish the job! I’ve done a quite a few of these re-lining job’s during my apprenticeship. It was called “New Flow” if I remember correctly. I remember it being a very precise race against time.

To get the rope through, perhaps a remote control boat winch could be mounted on a frame to apply tension throughout. That way the rope cannot be run over.
