Wow 4 years ago that was a bad year for me I had a surgery done in the summer it was the longest surgery I ever had (8 and a half hours) the doctor broke my jaw to try to line it up better and put a implant in my chin it make it look more like a chin I was in the ICU for a few days then got moved to the normal hospital room within a few hours my 02 started to go down so I went back to the ICU for a few more days I think I was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks when I got home my sitches came out so i was on anabiotics for months and non of them worked so the doctor took the implant out turns out my whole jaw was infected so he clear all of that out (this was a in office surgery) when I woke up I was literally screaming at the top of my lungs because I was in so much pain the doctor didn't have any strong pain medication so I went home in pain so I don't want to do a in office surgery again I missed a whole lot of school because of the pain and all of that stuff but I'm glad it's all over

Four years ago I was completely lost. I knew where I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing but I had no idea how to get there. I was not in a good place mentally. I had no idea I was facing some of the hardest years I'd ever go through, but I survived and I'm thriving. All the pain I endured had been swallowed up in Christ. Thank you for the example you've shown me in trusting Him through the joy and the pain. I'm so grateful for the Frey Life!

@marilan81546 жыл бұрын
Taryn L - I feel your pain...literally! I have Celiac too and it is a pain in more ways than just physically! Most of the time I’m ok with not being able to eat everything but I drives my crazy when I’m out with people and I have to worry about where we will eat. Then I really hate having to interrogate the servers or manager about if I can get safe food and what their protocol for gluten/allergens is. Everyone who knows me is fine with it and very considerate but it is just tiring and annoying for me. I try to remember that at least I have something that can be treated without having to take meds, or chemo that would cause even more problems for my health. Try to turn it around and think of it as most of the foods that contain gluten are not good for anyone and since you don’t eat them you will be healthier in the long run. Also be an advocate/educator for Celiac like Mary is for CF. I try to give the servers a few bits of info as I explained my order. Some have been really interested and asked questions so they can serve others better. I don’t know how old you are but I have a 7 yr old granddaughter who was diagnosed when she was 5 and she is learning how to not let it get her down and how to be her own advocate now that she’s in school. I think it’s making her a stronger more confident person already. Just remind yourself that WE are ‘OVERCOMERS’ and “LET’S DO THIS” Ain’t no gluten gonna stop us!! Ok I’ll stop now....but we can do this!😂

I’m curious too - what’s the rationale behind not taking more enzymes when you know a food will give you a stomach ache/diarrhea. Since the enzymes help you break down the fats and you need the fats (and the diarrhea comes from poor absorption/digestion), would it help to take more enzymes? Is there a reason this wouldn’t help?

When they heard about my pancreatic Insufficiency and digestive problems they asked me right off if I had a history or CF in my family (the answer is no btw), but I thought of you when they asked that to me. I grow succulents, cactus, and aloe plants. I love them because they only have to be watered 1-2 times a week. Lecithin - is an idea. It emulsifies fats making them easier to digest. I used to get nauseus when I ate really fatty meals esp. deep fried, and would take a couple spoonfuls of lewis labs lecithin (pineapple flavor) when that happened and it would stop usually right away.
