She usually gets brushed off as the childish 34 year old who is still writing songs about her exes, has no songwriting skills, her music sucks, she's so basic, etc. I love that you were also able to enjoy some of her less-known songs. Man, I can't believe this video only has 500 views, because holy shit is it aweseome. I am a huge swiftie - I've been listening to her music for over a decade and it has gotten me through so so much. When it comes to songs like Look What You Made Me Do, I know they can be super repetitive but I do highly recommend watching her live performance from the eras tour (where she sings and dances live to crowds of up to 96k for almost four hours straight) or the music video! I falso think you would love the live performance of I Did Something Bad from the reputation tour because it makes that song even better than it already is. As for why people love her so much - I truly believe that she connects with her fans on a different level than most celebrities do. She has *never* had fans pay to meet her, she either picks them personally or has her family/team pick them. She goes out of her way to know her fans' names and their stories so when she meets them it doesn't feel like they're talking to someone who isn't human. As you know, she's incredibly vulnerable in her music and so so many people connect to that. I think a big factor in people being so obsessed with her is that she has been writing music for almost two decades, and a lot of her fans have grown up with her. Yes, a lot of her fans are young girls, but a lot of them are also women her age, who had nothing to connect with before Taylor started releasing music, and have grown up with her. All that being said, this video was such a fun watch and you should keep it up!

I love everything about the production of this video but especially your commitment to keeping an open mind. Most people don’t realize that Taylor was the first artist to start her music career as a teenager who wrote her own songs from her own perspective. Then we watched and listened to her grow up in real time. Even songs that are about a character are still pulled from her experiences. I love what you said about Midnights being a combo of all her albums. She took her storytelling, sense of melody and pop, and the maturity of her 30’s and rolled it into one album. And yet with all this fame, she still manages to write lyrics that tap into the most relatable parts of the human experience.

It's not just her music that I love about her. Midnights made me pay attention to her because I loved that album so much. Then I found out about the re-records and the drama behind it and I was like 😱 Then I heard about her Eras Tour and all the hard work, dedication, and insane bonuses she gave to her truck drivers (which I have a soft spot for). THEN I watched the Eras movie in a theater that was literally turned into a mini concert by the young Swifties and I brought my 5 year old daughter and they included her in the festivities which you can watch on my channel actually... THEN I found out that she was STILL re-recording her albums amidst the tour AND there were rumors that she was creating a new album (tortured poets) which blew my mind. The fact that she writes her own songs, produces her own videos, is heavily involved with her live performances, designs her albums/artwork and interacts with the fans in various ways leaving easter eggs in various ways is super fun to follow.

16:46 - “Her and her writers”-so that would be her 😂 She sometimes has cowriters, but several have gone on the record saying they’re not sure they earned their cowriter credit while working with her). She wrote every song on her albums except “Untouchable”-she got a cowriter credit for her arrangement changes, but she didn’t do the lyrics there. I don’t blame you for not knowing that, though-it’s kind of an unbelievable amount of songs to write or cowrite as one person, I feel like. I think that watching her live performances would give you a better idea of her appeal, since she actually sounds better live for some reason? But I dunno. respect for u bro. I did something similar when my girlfriend got us eras tour tickets. Let me just say I'm a firm swiftie when it comes to Speak Now, Folklore, Lover and Midnights. Her vault tracks are great on all her re-releases too

I love the fact that you give her a chance and don't judge her like sm other ppl

15:10 fun fact, her album Mindights are about 13 sleepless nights scattered across her life so... the entirety of Midnights are like from different parts of her life!

The first time I heard “Ready for It” I was with the biggest love and betrayal of my life. First date. I was trying on new clothes he was buying me in the dressing room while he was picking out more in the store. It was on the stereo while I tried on a really cute outfit. That’s when I realized Taylor’s appeal.

Heyo heyo, another one of the big things people also like Taylor Swift for, is how genuine she feels. In the early days she used to do vlogs and stuff and you can see her personality and reactions to certain stuff which made her feel like a friend. Is she actually our friend? sadly no :( but ive seen alot of old swifties having the mutual experience of not having many friends growing, so having her in our lives with her music, vlogs and interactions made us feel like we belong somewhere. Unfortunately i believe it was during the Reputation drama that Taylor has turned off comments and no longer vlogs or interact with us as much. That's due all the backlash and her becoming a more private person due to it. However in stuff like the Making of MVs you can still see some of that personality shine through, which i love seeing. Even her backup dancers, singers and band seem to be having to much fun. even seen clips of them having fun backstage of the eras tour, and i think that also somewhat reflects her own personality

yess i love how you said in the end that it's important to give artists a chance, even if you may not like them at first. and then it's fine to dislike their work, as long as you made an effort to listen to them and come into it with an open mindset. i love your top 3 albums and songs!!! 1989 is my favorite album and style is my favorite song overall, so im glad someone else is also seeing how good 1989 and style are and putting them at #1 where they belong!!

Real swiftie’s don’t really care if you like her music or not they just care if you respect her as a person🫶🏻🫶🏻 (great vid btw)

As a swiftie who has been a fan since Our Song dropped on KZbin back in the day... I applaud you for this! What a challenge. I like to joke with my friends that she has Grow and Show there are the ones that stick out right away then there are the ones that take sometimes years to appreciate fully. Her discography is massive so there are a lot of songs that i really didn't like when I first heard them. Then depending on if there is a live performance or a specific moment where a song just suddenly clicked... 4 days later you are singing the bridge of a song you didn't like 😅.

I only listened to her because the entire universe sent her songs like synchronicity to my head. I’m on a spiritual awakening called the twinflame journey and the synchronicities are absolutely ridiculous. She found me in 2022 when I heard my first synchronicity walking through Vegas and I had satori to a song called “delicate” then again in 2023 “it’s me I’m the problem it’s me” during my dark night of the soul, then finally “all too well” was my SEPERATION phase. Taylor was orchestrated for my awakening. She soundtracked it.

Exile being one of your faves shows you have great taste! Such a well written song! If you want to watch more live performances (other than rep tour and eras) I would recommend 1989 tour version of WANEGBT and IKYWT which she does in a more rock way. Also IDSB at rep and/or AMAs it also great! I would also recommend giving a listen to renegade, a Collab she did kinda in the same style as folklore and evermore. Oh, and the Long Pond Studio session which is a live album of the folklore songs.

A lot of hate came from misoginistic people that are insicure and jealous over a successful woman and also people with no personality that cant say in a normal way that they are not into in her music they always have to insult her in a very disgusting and inhumane way! In little world you ask them why they hate her they dont even know why its just cause some men say it so they need to follow cause again no personality! I loved this video you gave it a chance give it the time, no insult, no mean things said, just a very normal personal and adult opinion 💯💯💯 💯💯💯 and also respected her work and art 🙏👑

I’m a big fan of her music and her as a human being. I have to say I completely respect you. You gave an educated, unbiased perspective as a “non-fan” and even if you had come out with a complete dislike of her music, I would have huge respect for you.
