That would depend on the size of the buck shot. Probably not you definitely have load from #4 buck and larger in the shell by hand. Roll crimping slugs can only be done with a roll crimping tool. But I have and do just crimp over slugs like a normal shot shell they work fine with not degradation of accuracy at all.

Yes even reloading is hard to compete with walmart when it comes to light loads. Where savings come in is in heavy field loads. Lead has gotten crazy expensive. I have tons of it saved up from years past so I can save money even on the cheap stuff buy many cant. If I had to buy stuff today there is no way.

did the math and reloading cost more per shot than factory loads 12 gauge remington gun clubs cost about 6.50 where i live so to reload and save them shells perimer cost 12 cents if you buy a 50 round box or 8 cents if you but it in a 500 pack next powder alliant pwder unique 23 grains which is about 6 cents then wad which is 10$ for 250 so thats 4 cents a wad then shot 25 pounds is 400 ounces 50$ for 400 ounces is 12 cents that comes out to be 30 cents a round so a 25 round box would cost 7.50
