That was very informative, thank you. I was planning on relocating to Spain, have spent a lot of time toing and froing and have Spanish heritage. But, I have been looking at a lot of Portuguese properties lately. Emmm not sure where to relocate. I just know I don't want to stay in the UK.

One thing that has been bugging me. Do certain areas in the Algarve have less mosquitoes than others? That alone could force me to look north of Lisbon. Great video.

It's difficult to say but the short answer is yes. Mosquitoes hang around near still water and are most active in the Algarve during the warmer months, from late spring to early autumn (May to September), especially after rainfall when stagnant water accumulates. You'll be best off in a high-rise apartment block in the center of a town. Nice thing is we don't have malaria here 🦟

From prior videos I am under the assumption that the other Nick is a builder/contractor. As a lot of structures throughout Portugal need work (to say the least), do you provide advice or general contracting services on fixer-uppers?
