You people are literally producing nothing but generic ole school BLACK American music and you’re expecting it to have global success? Unless corporate America manufacture the numbers, these “Afro”-beat artist will only reach triple wood success because BLACKAmerica isn’t feeling it and we determine the success of artist throughout the your diaspora who desire global success. BLACK America dictate Pop culture and will NEVER co-sign this generic fake “African” cosplaying bull$hit. There’s absolutely nothing about your Afro-beats that represents your own African cultures and your artist are doing absolutely nothing but cosplaying BLACK American. So why would the world actually take this fake “African” bull$hit seriously? They won’t. You people worship BLACK America to the point that you would rather identify yourselves as race “black” while hiding your own ethnic/tribal identifiers and cultures. We DON’T respect it, your Afro-beat artist are all fake BLACK American cosplayers who are too embarrassed to fully embrace their own cultures through their music…FAKE!!!

I TOTALLY agree with burna boy and I think it is more deep that we can think .. some artists make us « vibe » with dark substance that we humans don’t understand. Some artists are INSPIRED by a unknown spirit. I don’t know if rema’s inspiration is evil but let’s not be blind some artists are .. I don’t know about you but I vibe more when the message is strong and makes sense to me like the song African Giant . Pardon my English I’m Francophone ❤

your version of afrobeat has no substance however, when you go to the routes, the real origin of Afrobeat that is Ghana, everything makes sense. usually the copy version of things lucks the true meaning because it lucks the true story behind it. you still have a lot to learn.

Keep all negative opinions for family and what not, but publicly, never, and I mean NEVER disrespect one another’s craft, and how it sounds or how they do it, No stop that right now!
