To describe the episode, " A Dark Knight To Remember", I was all like "oh god, it's sailor moon all over again" since we got The Batman becoming a crybaby usagi after an accident made him lose his memory of being the batman. But it's more like the beginning of sailor moon r, when usagi and her friends get their memories back after their fight with queen beryl.

Rino Romano did pretty well in the beginning. He also played as Batman once. I couldn’t tell Toby and Vince apart after all this time. They all did magically and stunning jobs!

All of the voices for darien/mamoru were really good,especially the dic dub version of sailor moon. I just didn't know that he had different voice actors throughout the first season and second season from the old English dub. Robbie is great too as mamoru in the viz dub.

Vince was great as Allen. As Darien, he was stiff as hell, some of the worst stilted acting he's done. In CLOVERWAY, he was a shell of his former self. Toby was superior

This was actually a common theme throughout every character in the old dub. You see… Since anime, especially magical girl anime, was a new thing at the time in the 90s, dic did their best to dub over it, but they had no idea what they were doing with it, and they ended up having to change the names of the characters since they most likely assumed that the Japanese names would be too hard to spell/pronounce for their viewers. As a result, the characters would be given traditional American names that you would often hear here in America. (Serena, Darien, Amy, Molly, Melvin, etc.) If you watch the dub however, the characters will often imply that they’re in Japan (Mainly from a few scenes in the second season). I must agree with you that the Japanese names are better though, the English names might make a bit of sense (Serena sounding similar to Serenity, who is literally Sailor Moon, Mina being a short version of Minako, Darien’s last name meaning protect since it’s literally just “shields”, etc.) TL;DR The ones at dic had no idea what they were doing at the time, but if it were to be dubbed nowadays for the first time ever, it wouldn’t be so silly
