D... I can tell by you doing this remake that you actually do read your comments & get to fan request! I remember when this JODECI song was requested... So, I know my LA & Baby Face can't be far behind! lol.. What I can't understand is how some "established" artist/writer/ or production crew hasn't snapped you up and put you on!! Your talent is undeniable and the wealth of knowledge you have about what makes these hits that you remake work...well, to me it would be a no brainer. Here's hoping 2021 is your year.

You be nailing these patches bro. I had to research when the M1 was released. It dropped in 1988. So it’s a possibility they could have had this board in the studio with them. It sounds really close.

Lotta cool nuggets for aspiring producer/beat makers. Good for the culture. Part of why I requested for you to remake "Slide" by H.E.R. is because of the subtlety of the simple shift from synth bass to 808 to transition the track. Not too many people go into the nuances of music. What appears to be this hugely complex composition is usually just a proven base, like the chords you eluded to in this, and a couple subtle tweaks that make up the entire instrumental.
