How many times have we all been in a very similar place? I had a sweater that I'm like this with maybe ill take out the middle row and make a cardigan.....

Man, I was so invested in this project. The journey was chaotic yet comforting, and the finished vest?!?? LITERALLY THE CUTEST VEST! ❤

Wow what a difference that made! Now I can make mine! I love the creative process even if it does involve lots of frogging.

Excellent. I love this yarn , bought a bunch. Made the granny square bag (huge), cute, but too big. I think your version of the vest will be my next go around. Thanks for working out the bugs for us! I might try navy for the edges and ribbing.

i’m so glad you made these videos, i was so tempted to make the original vest but i wasnt sure i’d like the fit. i’m currently halfway through a queen size blanket in the “soft white - pink punch” colorway, and i will definitely be doing this afterwards 🩷

Thank god i found this video I was going to make a sweater but the color combo looked weird and didn't no whether to continue or not. Now I can make it to a vest without wasting more yarn 👍

Thanks for this! You confirmed what I planned to do. I made the same pullover vest with the citrus twist for a "candy corn" look for Fall, but I HATED the boxiness of it. And then I thought I'll take out the three middle squares and make it an open vest. I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Sometimes I have to do the same thing, But I always learn something for the next time.

Thank you so much for this video! 👏👏 I have made this exact vest & ribbed the bottom. I hate the look of it & it sits in my wardrobe & im not going to wear it the way it looks at the moment. 🥴. I love your finished vest & will definitely remove the middle squares from the front of the vest. Cheers 💕👏🥰❤️🤗😍

it's funny because you also could do sleeves, either with squares or just white and it would be a nice cardigan
@beadedwindsocks9 ай бұрын
The after of the vest from the original pattern looks great. If we all, as crocheters, adjust to fit ourselves, garments will work better for us. I learned this from a pattern I made. A lot of garment patterns are not sized for plus-size and those that are, come out small. If adjustments are small, the pattern will work. If the adjustments are big, the pattern will not work and is not for me. You did a great job adjusting this pattern for you.
@bradymanning65599 ай бұрын
Honestly I’ve had so many skeins of that yarn and didn’t like the original pattern, THIS however👀 so cute seriously so excited to make it cropped with long ribbing on the bottom for spring💖

I’m making some of the all in one squares right now. I also made 2 half/diagonal ones cause I think I’ll like a v-neck. Yeah, lots of ends but no more than a typical granny. I haven’t decided on a lay out yet, or even open vest or sweater or pullover vest. For sure not a pullover sweater. I also like your finish….. such decisions…. 💚💚💚💚

i think a beginner could make that. personally started clothing (and anything aside basic single, half, and double stitches) with a vest that had ribbing on the bottom the neckline and the arms and that wasnt the hard part (that was meeting gauge which eventually ended up as a close enough. it still turned out fine though)

ya know, I bet a big reason why they included that ugly vest pattern is because you can make it with all of the granny squares that come in one ball regardless of whether it's cute or not... It smells like an executive decision by someone who never actually saw the vest in person 😆
