My granddaughter, who just turned 4, loves watching your videos. She has a bouncy horse, she found some plastic tent stakes and was cleaning her horses feet because she watched you and Gavin do it. She also said she was cleaning up horse poop like Joel.

Your fixing everything that breaks yourself, working with what you can afford and making jobs work with what you have reminds me so much of my dad. Step 🚶‍♂️ back and look into a covering your riding arena then store your horse hay/feed . Flat ground. Close to the horse stalls for easy winter feeding . Customers having a covered arena would be huge plus for your customers. Just a thought.

It's definitely the hoarder in me but i'd hold on to that old wheel bearing assembly, cut off or tap the bolts through and see if you can keep it as a spare in case that happens again.

Glad you are feeling better. Joel please think about using a piece of rental equipment for the grading. Dirt work is really hard on farm equipment. May not see it now but you will during the life of the equipment.

I agree but I understand the huge costs that may be involved. I would at least get a professional grader to come and see if they would look at the project and get their advice on grading, drainage and just an overall opinion. This is too big of a project and once it’s done it’s important to minimize problems.

Having a hay barn sounds good in theory but hay in barns likes to burn. You're better off having a fenced in hay area outside and use the barn for equipment and maybe future stalls for more horses.

We call drainage pipes with holes in French Drains. Your skills as a mechanic are impressive. Nice to have two cousins to pass on their knowledge. I am glad you recovered from your cold. Do you have any of the nasal sprays that shorted the length of colds. I am lucky I haven't had a cold since the November before the Covid came in. So getting towards 5 years.

With the amount of dirt you have to move, would a skid steer be better? If you can’t borrow the Veggie Boys skid steer, maybe you could rent one. A tracked version would work ever better.

Rent an excavator or hire someone to do the excavation in the long run it will be cheaper and set you up for a positive result tractors are great for pulling but an excavator is designed for digging right tool for the job

Looking good. For control while working on footprint of barn and cuts and fill areas. You may want to pull a measuring tape 5 feet behind the corner stakes and the other perimeter stakes and put the stakes there. So, you can work in the footprint. You could paint broken lines on ground for actual footprint for control of perimeter. Also, you could paint on inside of cut verticals how much deeper to go ( -1' -.6") or paint on ground inside footprint cuts. You could also paint on the ground 5' off footprint of the barn in several locations how much fill is needed also in the footprint (+ 1'.6", +.5")
