This trip down memory lane shows an iPod Classic - the one with the click wheel.
Although there were iPod minis, Nanos shuffles and touches and this iPod Classic dates from 2008.
Even today it has style and performance - something more appealing in many ways when compared to streaming from a mobile phone.
In a world of streaming and touchscreens, these little bricks provided music anywhere, but there was no wireless connectivity - syncing required a lead, and yes do you remember that large 30 way connector.
Steam music to your headphones or use an iPod dock to play it through a better speaker.
The sound quality, the physical connection...nothing beats the simplicity and joy of this classic.
The iPod was first introduced in 2001 because all the other MP3 players were large, had a small memory and were not easy to use. The iPod was introduced to solve these issues and it took the market by storm.
Sadly the demise of the iPod came. The Classic was discontinued in 2014 and the iPod Touch in 2022.
