The Tigersharks are featured as a captured species in the 2011 Thundercats. When Mum-Ra leads Lion-O’s ancestor through his ship you see the Tigersharks swimming in a tank behind them.

No. The Hobbit had Bilbo tricking Smaug the dragon at the end. The Lord of the Rings had Frodo getting his finger bitten off by Gollum. 🎼”Frodo of the nine fingers... and the ring of doom.” Grand songs like that and “Where there’s a whip (cracking sound) There’s a way!” by the marching orc army.

There was going to be a spin off series in 1990 after Thundercats ended. It was called Thunderforce and was supposed to be a crossover between all 3 shows. They went so far as making new figures but Rankin Bass was bought by Warner and the plans were scuttled.

I remember that show back in 1987. Karate Kat is my favorite show. It's like James Bond meets Morris the cat show. I still have all the episodes recorded in 1987 and still enjoying it. I would like to see you do one on Biker Mice from Mars, Bucky O' Hare and anime shows(Speed Racer, Starblazers, Sailor Moon, etc.)

Actually, Tygra had a power, too. He could generate realistic looking illusions using his mind, which he used to test Lion-O during his trials to become lord of the Thundercats. Panthro explains that it takes a lot out of Tygra to use such power, so he rarely uses it.

More Tigersharks facts: some episodes are still missing. Only 11 of the 26 produced are available on the grey market. The complete series is now owned by Warner and they DO have it in their archive, last time I asked they said they had no plans on releasing it on its own or a complete "The Comic Strip" set. The Tigersharks action figures are some of the rarest 80s toys and individual figures sell for $200-800, thats loose too, not sealed on the card still.

This makes me feel old. I wrote a college term paper on these shows, comparing educational programming of the 70's that I grew up with, which was much more strict, to the children's shows of the 80's, which was devoid of anything educational and more violent. I got an A, BTW. I also grew up with all the Rankin Bass holiday specials, which started coming out the year I was born.

I remember Tigersharks on the comic strip cartoon block in the 80s. I thought i wasn't the only one who saw the air, land, sea reference between the 3 cartoons. Tigersharks cartoon didn't the impact and popularity as ThunderCats and Silver Hawks. No Tigersharks toys were ever produced sadly nor do i remember was a comic book (i could be wrong) at the time. I would be more to happy if this was possible a triple comic crossover between ThunderCats, SilverHawks, and Tigersharks...that would be AWESOME!!

How about doing Bravestarr? If you haven't already. and yes I remember Tigersharks I actually liked the show people who use a special tank to turn themselves into sea creatures. What's unique is that the creatures they turn into is based off their names like Mako turns into a humanoid version of the Mako shark, Angel becomes a humanoid angel fish, Walro a walrus. Also Dolph is Irish.

From what I recall, Captain Bizarrely and his crew (the two crewmen whom you forgot to mention were Long John Silverfish and Spike Marlin) were villains indigenous to Water-o, and were imprisoned by the Waterian in Seaberia until the Mantanas came and freed them (the two Mantanas whom you forgot to mention were Carper and Weakfish). I think that my favorite was Walleye (Mr. "Google-y Eyes").

True!!!! I liked TigerSharks but hated the whole Comic Strip thing. I felt like the other cartoons screwed me out of Tigersharks time. Street Frogs was one of the rare cartoons I disliked so much I chose to do chores when it was on.
