Alquan Mrs. Carroll also had a long affair with a Black man, Sidney Poitier. Diahann Carroll was very much aware of discrimination and Jim Crow policies and practices, as well as segregation--separate but not equal. Harry Belafonte married a white woman but it has not stopped his efforts in the Civil Rights Movement. There are many examples of famous Black people marrying non-blacks. Sidney Poitier also married a white person. James Baldwin had affairs with several white people, but he didn’t escape his blackness nor did he try to escape it. There are many famous Blacks who marry other Blacks, but some of them remain silent when the torch is being passed to do the things that are needed to support and uplift the Black race as a whole unit. Instead of Black people being overly consumed about other adults’ bed mates, we should be participating in doing our part for the betterment of the Black community by directing and guiding our black youth.

@Alquan I don't get involved much on this comment section much. I could care less, however you shouldn't make statements like that. BLACK men sought White women , cause to have one was taboo. Once upon a time those in the know didn't speak about it. When a BLACK woman seeks a white man it's more about the relationship, not the scandal. BLACK people are free to do what the other ethnic groups do when it comes to affairs of the ❤ . So was that Black enough for you?
