My fourth grade class had those who had portable TVs bring them into class to watch Carter's inauguration. We gathered on the floor in 4-5 groups around each TV. I was surprised by the different kinds of TVs there were.

Jimmy Carter was a good man that truly cared about the American people, I had the pleasure of having dinner with him, his wife and several other university members in college. He was truly concerned about the future of our nation even though he had long given up on formal participation in politics. His biggest concern was the amount of money allowed in lobbying. He was extremely sharp, even at an age where he should have been senile. He's the only politician I've met in person that seemed completely concerned with what was best and not what was best for him.
@gdiaz88274 күн бұрын
Yes he was no Joe Biden and truly cared about people
@TRAPONOMICS4 күн бұрын
The other thing he was concerned about was the bi-partinship of the nation. So you are disgracing his memory perpetuating it.
@TRAPONOMICS4 күн бұрын
The whole team mindset of politics is probably one of the things that annoyed him the most.

What happens when a good hearted honest man becomes president? He was hated and maligned for his whole 1 term. RIP good man.
@NickR-jt9zw4 күн бұрын
That’s true, even by his own party they treated him horribly. It’s only once he left office and did a lot of good, did they sing praises. Democrat party leadership hurt this man when he was president at every turn.

Hate is a strong word. He was over his head and not up to the task of presidency which drew criticism. He thought his words could impact world issues while he couldn't see his advisors' words failed to impact him.

What right did we have to control it to begin with? We armed rebels for the sole purpose of having them take over the country so we could build it. We preach democracy and freedom but we help violent revolutions around the globe.
