MH3rdP was soooo good, and the fact that it was never released outside of Japan felt like you were part of a special clan by playing it. I think Rise was made to be the spiritual successor of this particular game.

My first Monster Hunter, I watched Shephard's video on MHp3rd countless times just to get the knowledge in. And I had an ungodly amount of time fighting Zinogre for his gems and plates and my muscle memory for Amatsu is still within me despite not playing the game for over 10 years!

i think this was my favorite monster hunter of all time and just recently i could buy myself a good pc and enjoy rise, i remember playing unite and didnt played this one because it was full on japanese, and when i found it patched, i played it so so much, for me this one was so much better because it had 2 things, the switchaxe that became my favorite weapon of all time, and that you could farm bugs and mine without having to select the item lol, i think that was what initially caught me, and that it would show you where you could search stuff on the ground, i remember in the original monster hunter be spamming search all over the place, because one random time i was walking arround the MAIN BASE, and my guy suddenly drop the floor and found a kut ku scale in some bushes, i was so shocked and stater to think the game was so full of little secrets. i love so much this saga and the love you can share in your videos about it

The very first MH game I have ever played, so many nostalgia. That intro scene where the village was shown made me remember the memories I had with this game. I will never forget the panic that insued when me and 3 of my friends accidentaly encountered Devil Jho in this game.

This was my first Monster Hunter game, I had to play it on my phone because I was in a hostel, later I joined HunsterVerse and had a blast with MH ever since. Pickaxes and Bug nets, those were the times, man I hated farming for materials

bro you can double charge the GS in this game. simply hold triangle -> unleash the first charge -> triangle again to perform the sword bitch slap -> then hold both forward and triangle to charge the second attack which has more damage. best wishes and keep up the good content!

My first Monster Hunter. I was such a noob. Making the whole armor set because fashion rather than min-maxing skills by mixing armor pieces, only realizing years later of the skill point system, and getting weapons with only the best raw damage... never reached the end, only managed to fight the last boss for the first time by joining a friend's quest.

As a chinese player, this was probably the most anticipated handheld gaming title in history. With the fanbase built by 2G (freedom unite) and the prevalence of jailbreaked PSPs in china, everyone was yearning for this stuff. It caused so much drama though, with regards to the pirating and jailbreaking of PSPs SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS GAME. Also directly caused the retirement of the greatest jailbreaker liquidzigong's retirement. Very fun and chill monster hunter game overall. It really churned out the janky stuff from past games, was really smooth. Was a little too easy without G rank quests, and it was, in my opinion, the last monster hunter game which retained the PlayStation era feel for monster hunter.

As much as i love Portable 3rd It misses A LOT of good stuff from all the other games More monsters, more white and purple sharpness, G-rank, more armor variations like, i hate Low and High Rank armors looks exactly the same 😭 And for those reasons i'm playing Freedom Unite Complete way more than Portable 3rd Plus, Gunners are way more usefull and with good defense in Pokke than Yukumo

Currently playing MHP3RD using emulator on android, it's easier to grind(quick save then carve tail or get shiny, repeat if mat needed didn't get) because of the quick save but it's hard to control sometimes because there are no actual buttons(hard to press triangle and circle at the same time)

Try checking the control mapping settings you can create custom buttons that let you press multiple things at the same time like triangle and circle for example
