Absolute awesome video retro RIP to Akira we will miss him within the Dragonball world!!!!

Toriyama was a one of one, and you instantly knew he was behind the art. You like to read he got you, like TV/Movies got you, video games guess what he got you. The general influence he has in general entertainment is just not fully able to be comprehended by the average person who likely had at least one positive interaction with his art

I haven't played a DragonBall game in a long time, but they really impacted my childhood. 1. My uncle imported DragonBall GT Final Bout on ps1 and it was magical. I had no idea what it was at the time because I didn't know that GT existed. 2. I picked up Ultimate Battle 22 randomly at a Target with some spare kid change I had. Ha. The graphics blew me away. Beautiful game. 3. Buu's Fury was also a random buy, but I got so addicted to it. Loved being able to fly around too. 4. I was able to get one of the reprinted versions of Budokai 3 from the Bandai Namco store with King Piccolo and other extras added to it. Me and my best friend at the time used to stay up all night and go mad playing it. 5 I remember having trouble with Tenkaichi at first. The controls were so foreign to me and I practically gave up. My love of DBZ kept me pushing and it remains a memorable moment in my gaming career. I loved FighterZ, but didn't stick with it. I keep wanting to get DBZ Kakarot, but I just haven't yet. I'm sure I'll love it.

I think what initially got me into this channel was your coverage of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. I've always loved Dragon Ball ever since I was young. So when I got my hands on the first Budokai game on ps2 (Bought at a flea market in a jewel case and everything) I was hooked. It opened the universe of Dragon ball like no other for me. I recall late nights on Toonami watching the android and cell saga when I would have to wake up the next day for school. I also remember playing with my friends, battling to see who was the better Saiyan. I guess what I mean by all of this is thanks for making these sorts of videos covering the things of my childhood. And a greater thank you to Toriyama himself for being the father of the things I love most. Thank you.

As far back as I can remember my first ever experience with Dragon ball was when my cousin brought over his copy of Budokai 1 on the PS2 to my aunt's house. When I say I was hooked I mean I literally couldn't take my eyes off it; The character designs were striking, the gameplay fun, the story intriguing, and the Music was phenomenal... plagiarized... But phenomenal none the less XD. After that I basically gushed over anything having to do with Dragon ball, it was literally a part of my life.... Too a point where I think my family got tired of me constantly bringing up anything to do with Dragon ball. It was thanks to Dragon ball that I was able to meet some of my friends in middle school cause they loved the series too. This series will always have a place in my heart as one of my Favorites and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you Mr Toriyama, may you rest in peace.

I'm not the biggest fan of Dragon Ball, mostly just watching people play FighterZ in tournaments, but as a really big Dragon Quest fan I'm still deeply saddened to hear of Toriyama's passing. The series is what made me really fall in love with RPGs when I got into the series with 9 at its launch, and I wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for me having the same thought you did in that the art looked like Dragon Ball's (I didn't watch the anime, but I at least knew of it and its art style back then).

We have so many Dragon Ball fighting games and arena fighters that it really feels like something special when we get something like this. I really feel we need more games like this, Fusions, and SDBH World Mission. I’m glad we are getting Sparking Zero, but now that we are finally getting what is essentially Tenkaichi 4 and we have FighterZ I hope we will get more games that use the license in more creative ways. We don’t need more fighters/arena fighters right now

When I was a child, I had bootleg VHS tapes of DBZ that I was able to record before our cable TV subscription ran out. My family could not afford it anymore at the time. During elementary school, the other kids were buzzing over their new playstations and Dreamcast's. Not me. But it did not matter. I had my bootleg copies of DBZ and I was fully content and happy. When my parents were continuously arguing over stuff I did not understand, which was causing me so much anxiety, I relied on my bootleg copies of DBZ to take me out of those dark moments as a form of escapism. After school, because we didn't have cable anymore I would watch DBZ constantly from start to finish. Fast forward, I'm more than capable of providing for myself and my family. I'm married and have a daughter now. I can afford all these games consoles and gaming PCs and fancy 4k OLED monitors. And I'm loving it. But I think back on that 9 year old version of myself, who genuinely was just so happy with my DBZ bootleg tapes and there was nothing else I wanted. Toriyama's death has hurt me deeply. And this whole Saga has made me realise what I may have lost as a grown adult. Thank you Toriyama sensei, for brightening up my childhood at a time where I only saw darkness.

I grew up with the anime he created, it definitely has a very special place in my heart and soul during my childhood days and even now. RIP To The Legend Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z Universe, Thank You for all of the entertainment you're provided. Your Legacy will never be forgotten... 🙂🙏☯️🙃 Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.

Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 may each have even larger rosters and improved gameplay, but their story modes aren't as great. So glad you have Dragon Ball Fusions on the list. This game doesn’t get talked about nearly enough. I feel like the English localization timing was really bad with the Switch having already been announced most people were already looking to the future. Couple that with the fact that the chibi art style probably did it no favors with selling to the North American fan base, and some truly bizarre localization decisions like changing the animation of sword attacks to using sticks… still this is actually my all time favorite Dragon Ball game of all time just for how unique and addictive the gameplay is. I also like that it’s a completely new story and not just another retelling of Z. Sure the story is nothing great, but it’s better than replaying the exact same story for the 20th time. It’s absolutely criminal that we haven’t gotten a remaster on Switch or a full blown sequel. If I had any actual complaints about the game outside of the weird localization is the lack of multiple save slots. Funny this is another thing this game shares with Pokemon. I want to do a fresh play through but I don’t want to sacrifice my end game characters. This is something a Switch remaster can improve as you can play it using a different profile. I followed this game since its release in Japan, I remember being so upset thinking there was no way this game was getting an English release. I was so shocked when news of the NA release came and I preordered it instantly which was good because at least at launch the physical copy was impossible to get a hold of in my area. Another Dragon Ball game that doesn’t get enough attention I want to shout out is Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission. I wish we would get more Super Dragon Ball Heroes games here but I’m at least glad we got this. It was the perfect conversion for Switch, pretty much the only game I actually use the touch screen for. It can get to unfair levels of difficulty due to the nature of being an arcade game, but it’s still just so much fun. I hope we get more of these games in the future. I had hoped they would continue supporting the game with later versions of the arcade game via dlc but unfortunately we only got a few new card sets as free updates. I would’ve gladly paid $30-$40 at least for full dlc of future arcade releases

And there I found a copy of Budakai 3, that was prob around 4-6 months since it came out, mis-marked as used for $3.99. I brought it up to the clerk and they said well I guess we are selling it for $3.99 and sold it to me for that price! I was so happy that day im pretty sure I played it the entire rest of the day when I got home. I am sooooooo excited for Budokai Tenkaichi 4, going to be a day 1 purchase easy even tho I have fallen off from Arena fighters since Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

If anybody deserves to be able to make this video, its you. Ive watched so many dragon ball videos on this channel, no one can think youre just making this to try and be relevant. Its cool knowing you play the DBS card game. That game was a huge part of my life too. I wonder if I ever met you at a tournament! I went to most east coast regionals at the time.

This November will be the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball starting publication. It's really unfortunate Toriyama couldn't make it...

I remember playing a game called dragonball origins on the DS. It wasn't a perfect game but I had sooo much fun with it

My favorite games were definitely Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Both of them were amazing games that I still own to this day
