My God but it makes you proud to be British! I absolutely Love The Military Bands of Britain. The most amazing part is that Across the 3 Services, they can parade Several Brass Bands Each, As well as the Pipes & Drums from Multiple Regiments. There is Something about all the Military Bands of Britain, that makes Every Single One Head & Shoulders Above other Military Bands in the World. They are Always Perfectly Timed, every Arm Swing, every Instrument Raised to be played together & Returned together, every Drummer marking the Beat, every Instrument held at the same level. The Sight & Sound perfect all finishing on the same note together, all Movements a Perfect Mirror Image of the next. Anyone who plays a Musical Instrument appreciates the fact of how difficult it is to move at one Cadence & Maintain the Perfect timing of the Music. These Bands make it look easy & seamlessly change from 1 piece to the next in perfect time. This Particular Video was very Moving, as behind the Bands, Marched Squadrons of Impeccably turned out Soldiers, Sailors & Airmen and Women, Marching in Perfect Rhythm, their arms Moving as if they were Chained Together & Behind them Groups of ex Servicemen & Women & also even the K9 Representatives. It gives you a short glimpse of the Unique Bond these Men & Women Share & Pride in The Regiments they Serve in Now or Served in, in the Past. Each year I Witness Remembrance Day Ceremony, it makes me Understand More & More why my Father left the Relative Safety of New Zealand, to Serve in the RAF During WWll & I get a lump in my throat & the back of my eyes tickles, as I watch the Pride on the faces of the Veterans as they March with their Own Regiments, with straight Backs & Perfect Timing. I'm Prejudiced, but I've witnessed Many Countries Military Bands, none IMO match the British Bands. But Then No One does Pomp & Pageantry Like The British, God Love Them.

Nice angles, nice shots, nice sound. This is a fine ending for the day. The RAF Band was playing as we marched past the Cenotaph yesterday. They often play when it’s the time for the RAF Squadron societies march past.

Seeing these wonderful young men & women prepared to fight for their country to protect us it is such a shame that so few young black people don't join. The camaraderie & feeling of belonging to something akin to a family is something so many seem to lack. Instead of joining gangs how much better for themselves if they joined the military. Scenes like this make me proud.

You are not very well informed, there are many black men in the armed forces. In fact one of the late Queen Elizabeth's former equerries, Lieutenant Nana Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah, is black. He was very prominent at Her Majesty's funeral - walking next to her coffin at the processions from Buckingham palace to Westminster Hall, Wesminster to Wellington arch and her final journey to Windsor Castle. Lieutenant Colonel Kofi Twumasi-Ankrah has also commanded hundreds of men. Your comments about black men joining gangs are steeped in prejudice. Black people are not a monolith, there are many of us that are educated, sucessful and law abiding. Why focus on the criminal minority spoiling it for the rest of us.

I am well aware there are some young black people in the military but seeing as how many are in violent gangs I do wish more would sign up to get out of this situation. No matter what colour their skin is it is lovely to see these wonderful people marching in their beautiful uniforms. I didn't mean to offend anyone by my comment.

Dearest Sylvia, call me biased, but as a veteran of the armed forces, I couldn’t agree with you more, the forces aren’t just about taking out the unwanted enemy, it’s about pride in yourself, your unit, and platoon. We are a brothers in arms, and I’m proud to say I served with some great black guy’s, and females of the highest class. Nobody does it better than the British Armed Forces 🥁🎺🎼🥇🏆

@@nickmander6088 thanks, it seems that @Mary Wiedman believes the army would be a good place for Black people involved in gangs and crime - maybe she believes that army discipline is what they need. I don't agree: the problem of indiscipline and criminality starts from lack of discipline at home, poor parenting, lack of role models which goes hand in hand with poor academic performance and exclusions from school. In the military, soldiers are handling weapons and live ammunition, they are responsible not only for their lives but those of their colleagues. The army needs mentally sound people, it is not the place for gang members and other dysfunctional people, that's the role of Social Services.

I do not recall ever seeing so many different military bands in one parade! Marvelous. I noticed some pieces the bass drum beat every step, and others it was the LEFT foot strike. When I played bass drum in the US Army (1968-1970) it was customary to strike for every LEFT foot and every third right foot. (LEFT, LEFT, LEFT RIGHT LEFT)

@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 I think the European and American way is right, because the drums usually have sheet music. Here, not all bands use sheet music for percussion, so they standardized a cadence. Anyway, I think both styles are very vibrant.

Hi Military Bands Everywhere. Not exactly related to this clip, but can anyone advise as to why at the Rehearsal on Thursday (at Welli Barracks) and on the Sunday,, the Royal Marine contingent formed up on the left of the Royal Navy rather than their traditional place on the right? Never seen this happen before. The Royal Navy were first on Whitehall as they are Senior Service(I did notice life guards marched up from Horse Guards to form up first.) Any answers please?

Great video but seems the streets are half empty and obviously show a small support from the British for military turn outs or remembering the many who died in wars when may other countries show streets overflowing with people. Shame for these lads serving old and present.

This is simply just the parade from the barracks to the main event at the cenotaph where thousands stand and watch and TV cameras to broadcast pictures globally. There is great support, just this part of the event is not the main bit!
