I bought a .22 on the back of seeing this video! Shotguns and clay shooting is my thing, however Andy has a great way of keeping the Airgun obsession alive.

I've just weighed my two air rifles and that's not unusually heavy. I have an Air Arms Ultimate Sporter XS Extra fitted with a Hawke AirMax scope and that weighs in at about 11.4 pounds or 5.2 Kg and my Weihrauch HW100 TK with similar scope and bipod is 10.2 pounds or 4.6 Kg.

I came across this gun in my local gun shop and fell in love with it just last week just the look the feel and the weight yes the weight of it really appeals to me feels like proper quality I have a Theoben SLR98 and the airacobra feels the same quality as that personally I’m not keen on light weight guns no matter how much the cost or the expense of high end priced guns using this gun with a BOG DEATH GRIP TRIPOD are a pair well matched thanks for the review Andy 👍🏼

Thank you Andy for the honesty . One would expect more from a major arms company like Ruger . It makes you wonder if they let a competitor design it for them and just painted their brand on it thinking it will sell . Reminds me of the companies that push you for a review before you get your hands on their products . "Deeds not words"

Yet again Andy a straight honest review. A budget pcp that would be great thrown in the back of agricultural vehicle or for a pest controller without breaking the bank. But that safety does seem to have a loud clunk which could prove a pain in the arse when about to take a shot as it could spook your target. May be better in a hollow polymer stock to reduce that weight a tad too, but for those welly wearing country chaps who throw hay bales for a living the weight may not be an issue!!
@kelvinsparks46513 ай бұрын
I've tried one of these and yes it's weighty but it holds on point very well and to be honest I'm used to stalking all day with an HW80 so it's not too bad 😊
@fraserhardmetal71435 жыл бұрын
Great reviews Andy - I'm in the market for a new pcp rifle and have watched the box set of your reviews - very informative and balanced. You could, perhaps, add a little more information on the rifle/scope combination you are using, and the reason you have chosen that particular scope for the rifle being reviewed. Given that most scopes are Chinese in origin, it is difficult to make an objective judgement on scope suitability when they basically differ only in the name on the box - and whether an increase in price really does offer better build quality and performance. When an average scope represents half the cost of a lower priced pcp, it is certainly an important factor in the overall buying decision.

Can I suggest you look at the Crosman/ Benjamin gas piston rifles? I've had my Benjamin Titan .22 just over a year and so far it's consumed over 25,000 rounds, mainly RWS Super Field and for a break barrel rifle it's extremely accurate. I can regularly hit the side of a four pint milk bottle cap at 25 yards. For a cheap rifle its better than more expensive springers.

yea, when buying a rifle..a bench rest should be optional, not mandatory lol. I remember the good ol' days of going out in the field with my dad and shooting from a standing position. My dad would throw this back in the truck and pull out the pistol rather than a chair and rest. Shooting a rifle from a rest gets boring quickly, the rest takes away from the challenge

But this one kinda caught my eye - and ear also, with those magical words: "budget gun".😁 Would need a good scope, but I do not mind the weight of the rifle though. Hi Andy I have watched a lot of your videos I can’t say all as I don’t know off the top of my head but I was wondering if you would be able to do some videos of your air rifle at some target shooting as it would show some new and also older shooters a few different types of target shooting . And also would show safe ways of target shooting .

I've had one for a year, bolt is loose ,but doesn't move on shooting, and it has a slight air leak , replaced the scope with a konus 3-12x50 pro evo ir , side focus ....and the woodfield trigger mod. Apart from the sloppy bolt and the leak, its a cracking rifle, just wished someone could fix the issues?
