Taking my 1100hp Subaru Drag racing

It’s so depressing seeing Nearly every high horsepower VA STi not even able to do a proper quarter mile and have to hear them make themselves feel better over the sixty foot. I love this car and what you’ve done but man.. I haven’t seen a successful quarter mile out of a 1000hp STi since baders hyper blue STi run 8 seconds. And that was years ago. I love VA’s I own a VA STi myself, I just want to see them succeed 😢

Why do Subaru's struggle so much at the track? I noticed that like every Subie I see at the drag strip, they always have so many problems. Is it the drivetrain and the way its AWD system is setup? Sorry, I know very little about Subie's. You would think you would see more Subaru's at the track being an AWD car.

its not easy to clutch dump/slip launch 1100hp and the AWD on those big slicks leaves little room for error. It's a lot of weight to get moving too. It's a small engine with a huge turbo so if you fall out of boost you might as well forfeit the run. Also, keep in mind, a lot of youtubers don't have a lot of real world driving experience, give that car to a pro and it would be a different story.

@@ivtec4fun55 Im not talking about just KZbinrs... Im talking about Subie's I see in person.. Also, the AWD Honda's seem to have very little issues.. Maybe it is because they are lighter, and are "rear-wheel assist"? I mean, I ran an 8.9 @ 157 on my 4th pass at about 850whp in my awd DC5.

@@ivtec4fun55 Yeah I mean, in general, Subaru's just dont seem to be a platform many people use for Drag racing, and I was just curious why. Even Evo's are used a lot more. Honda's are definitely incredible for the drag strip. I mean, it was just so easy. I couldnt believe I went an 8 on only my 4th pass!
