Quick clarification for The Corruptor: In order to get the material for Twisted Arbalest, you need to deplete the golem's health to zero at least once over the course of the fight, prompting the Corruptor to come over and regenerate it. If you do not do this, you get a different material upon killing the boss, which grants you a melee weapon that fires shockwaves with charged attacks instead.

Agreed. Getting the sword was a chore. Luckily I was rolling with my engineer. Sat my turret directly in front of the corruptor while i frantically jumped from platform to platform running from the golem. Definitely a high pucker factor situation… especially when the golem decides to get jumpy.

For the Star Shot: You don't need to find all 5 coffin's first. You can do the dungeon part, turn on the machine, and then go exploring. When you find a coffin, you will hear the machine launch and if you stick around you can watch it come pick up the coffin.Just revisit the dungeon entrance to get your loot. This can also make you a decent chunk of scrap in subsequent playthrough's.

Also, not every re-roll guaranteed 5 pods, in my game and a friend it was only 3 pods, which still getting the Star Shot. So we suspect it was between 3-5 pods at random spawn.

quick tip after you kill Faelin/Faerin, remember to go back and talk to the other. they'll give you a ring. if you get both Nimue can craft a new ring using both, so you'll probably wanna do both fights twice. Also Deceit counts as a fusion rifle, so the supercharger mutator that makes bows and fusion rifles charge up their shots faster works on it.

@@CapytanCrimp yeah, I've tried both. Both are pretty good, but Star Shot is more precise, has a bigger magazine, and the bigger one-shot boom mod for tougher enemies. Star Shot regular shots are still explosions, and the fire DoT from detonation trigger goes a long way when paired with Stone of Malevolence (15% more mod gen from elemental damage) and Timekeepers Jewel (extend status duration). I could see a case for Meridian though!

Im on the fence between either. Star Shot is a bit user friendly (i dont blow myself up as often) but I do love the big rockets from the Meridian mod. I actually want to use both, and ditch my long weapon... haven't found an explosive long weapon yet instead.

You can activate the pod retrieval drone for Starshot before you find the pods. While you can do anything in any order. It is easier to find all of the pods before you activate the drone.

Should be sure to include that for the Twisted Arbalest, you need to have killed the Guardian atleast once in the fight before you kill the Corruptor. If you ignore the stone guy and never down him and just kill the Corruptor, you get a melee weapon instead.

minor correction for the star shot: you don't have to activate the life pods first, in fact if you doing after reactivate the retrieval drone, you get to see it pick up the life pods when it goes to pick it up. Either way you have to wait for everything to get delivered

Hi, I main the Crescent Moon! Amazing bow, big huge burst damage. A really solid starting Mutator is the one from Dwell that increases Ranged Damage after every reload. Each shot after your 1st will practically have a permanent % damage buff. Also, you don't have to get a perfect charge to fire 2 arrows with the mod; it just has to be fully charged. Abuse the mod, you'll save a ton of ammo and your damage is so high the mod refills quickly.

I really appreciate that having a varied, effective arsenal in this game is a real boon as you get to late game. I have guns and setups I use for certain worlds, certain encounters, etc. It's really cool. I'm a big fan of sagitarius, the coach gun, and occasionally the chicago typewriter for long guns, the smg and alien shotgun for sidearms. Their differences in stagger, burst damage, and range superiority when combined with certain archetypes, accessories, and synergistic mutators all give them defined use cases for me.

Im liking the Rune Pistol. Needs the Great Hall side dungeon on a Morrow Parish Map to get, just get the medallion to open the dining hall and instead feed it to the web, then take the resulting item to Nimue. 3 round burst, high capacity mag, mod tags nearby enemies so they drop health boosters on death(great for team play).

Twisted Arbalest with a reload for damage mutator and reload for shield ring, and a shield heals you ring is a hilarious way to walk through hordes of enemies. Definitely suggest a few dungeons with this gun

Deciet is slept on. I run it under a full crit build an whoo boy, in those tight corridor maps with the atom slicer it does work. Lure a group into a hallway or something similar, pop the mod, do a neutral charge so you shoot the blade through as many enemies as you can, and then pierce through them all doing guaranteed weak spot. Krel and the spear (the other two thrown melee weapons) work for it too. Just getting like 5-6 guys in one mod charge feels amazing.

Deceit is a late-bloomer weapon. It's not too bad out of the gate, but if you want it to truly shine, you'll need a few things, and I don't just mean upgrading it at Rigs. For one, to greatly improve its overall handling, you want to equip it with the Supercharger mutator (increase charge speed of bows/fusion rifles by 10-30%, level 10 gives charge shots 15% crit chance). Snapping off shots more quickly is always nice. For another, Deceit has un-ignorable synergy with its alter-ego counterpart, Godsplitter, the boss melee weapon you get from eliminating Faerin. Godsplitter's built-in weapon mod, Fracture, causes charge attacks to afflict enemies with the same tainted blood effect as Deceit's Ouroboros ability, allowing attacks to count as weakspot hits for a short period. Deceit and Godsplitter can share this ability, meaning both can bust out guaranteed weakspot damage off of each other. To bring it all together, it wouldn't be fitting to use Faelin and Faerin's weapons without their jewelry as well. When you kill one and talk to the other, they will give you their respective ring: - Faelin's Sigil: Melee damage generates 10% mod power. - Faerin's Sigil: Critical and weakspot hits generate 10% mod power. Take both sigils to Nimue, let her weave some Fae magic, and she'll trade you the rings for the amulet that ties them together: - One True King Sigil: Increases mod damage by 20%. Enhances the effect of Faerin's Sigil and Faelin's Sigil by 50% per Sigil equipped. The story writes itself. Equip all three sigils, and now Deceit and Godsplitter are generating mod power for Deceit's Ouroboros effect faster than ever, meaning more weakspot hits at both range and melee, meaning more triggers of Ouroboros, et cetera. The snake has finally eaten its own tail. Deceit is a fine weapon on its own, but if you have a little patience and persistence, and you're willing to put the puzzle pieces together, you'll have a real beast of a weapon on hand.

The Crescent Moon pairs very well with the Archer's Crest (increases charge speed and projectile speed) as well as Supercharger (also increases charge speed and adds 15% crit chance to charged shots) makes it shoot faster and hit harder. Of course, those 2 items work for any bow or charge item but Crescent Moon seems to benefit the most from them right now.

Did some testing and slayer outdamages supercharger with crescent moon and feels better to use because when using the mod. The biggest drawback is not charging the bow, but instead the reload between shots. Maybe I need more crit to make supercharger worth it

I’d like to give it a check, because the other reason for supercharger is that there are plenty of ways to stack crit chance to get at or over 50% crit chance. That’s what I was doing with supercharger, the amulet that gives 15% dmg +10% crit while shielded paired w. the ring that gives shielding if you spend 75% of the magazine. It’s certainly swingy but consistent enough to be useful.

would like to add that with star shot you do not need to activate the 5 pods first, you can go and activate the big machine, when you then go and activate any of the pods it will fly out and collect them. the only difference is you need to head back to the machine to loot the pods.

You can get them in any order whatsoever, if you turn on the ship it will get all coffins you already linked and then come to get any new ones you find, you can even see it descend and carry the coffin upwards

Intresting thing with deceit if you go back (adventure mode or another campaign) and do the dark side you get a melle weapon, if you use the charge attack it has the same effect as ouroborus where it taints the blood and all attacks register as weakspots for both the melee wepaon and deceit

On a related note (same video, or another one in its own right?) a video explaining which items, weapons, archetypes etc are available to someone who's unlocked them in a prior play through and how to access them in for that new character. Basically which unlocks are account wide and which are limited to the single character/play through you unlock them in.

Bows are extremely powerful in this game. i got my Royal Hunting Bow to do up to 4000 damage and it was insane i tore through all bosses no problem. however, as you progress and get new cool weapons, you'll be intrigued to try them out and oh boy this game have some of the most fun weapons and builds you could spend tens of hours just tinkering and building as it also affects the way you play, dodge, shoot, and deal with enemies.

Im pretty sure you were a bit off when it comes to aquiring the bolt driver. The steps found in the book you showed are for accessing the bridge that takes you to the doe/ravager boss fight. The song the flautist changes to once that is done, is the one that lifts the stone containing the gun. I could be wrong but im almost sure thats how it goes.

If you want a really good really cool secondary, I reccomend Sorrow. It does solid damage and its really easy to get too. 1. In Kaeula's Rest take the Tear of Kaeula ring (which you always get because grabbing it triggers the boss), and take it to Meidra. 2. Meidra spawns under the big blue glowing willow tree which will spawn randomly on Yaesha runs, under it Meidra will emerge and ask you some questions to determine your "alignment". The questions will reward you with one of two traits depending on your answers. 3. After her questions leave her dialogue and talk to her again, she'll ask where you got the ring, she'll explain it was her sister's and thank you for ending her sister's misery. 4. Now offer to give her the ring and she'll thank you profusely and in return reward you with the Sorrow. (Also if you REALLY want the ring again, Kaeula's Rest is a very common connector between map 1 and 2 so just re-roll Yaesha until you get it.) Its a small crosbbow that fires 5 bolts that stick in enemies, using its mod recalls any bolts fired which damages the enemy for each bolt inside, refills your ammo reserves, overflows your mag to 10, and heals 2% max health for every bolt returned. Its really solid because it'll take a few bolts to charge the mod and it counts bolts that are stuck in walls, so missing isn't really a bad thing because you technically get extra healing for nailing the wall instead of your target.

Thanks. I've been stuck using the coach gun (w/ fire tornado mod) and enigma because I just couldn't figure out another killer combo, and upgrading is too expensive to just try out new weapons all the time. I think I'm going to work on a crescent moon/starshot/archon build. Use archon to increase mod power generation, use moonlight to self heal and a mutator to send mod power to starshot, whip out starshot for enemies that get too close or to send off 5 charge supernovas for big baddies. This would also fit with the robot space ninja jedi theme I've been wanting to build around. I was already using technician armor, the navigator helmet, the glowy blue katana and the jedi lightning skill -- I feel like a techno bow and explosive sidearm would fit the theme. Only questions left: 1. Second archetype? I like alchemist and medic because both can instant revive with their lvl 10 skills, and alchemist basically becomes unkillable for 30 seconds. I like handler for the dog. I also feel like hunter would be good with bow. 2. Ring build? Could focus on skill and mod generation. Could also focus on heavy armor, mist step and lifesteal. 🤷

For the bow to find Ninue asleep you have to get the hear for the Web. (Just before the night weaver fight) if you beat the night weaver she will be awake, you also MUST have the dream catcher equipped (I sneak but haven't confirmed if you have to) then just melee attack (doesn't have to be charged melee I can confirm I know some people will say charged melee for what ever reason)

The information about the Bolt Drivers puzzle is incorrect: its always random but the book nearby (and shown) will give you the right code. Its not exactly hard puzzle thou, just need to memorize what the book says (thank god for phones and their cameras).

Please help i have been stuck for days trying to get the bow as well as the invader class but when i use the dreamcatcher and get both consumables they dont teleport me where they are supposed to they just take me back to a normal check point it is so heartbreaking after dealing with d4 and its crap now i have game breaking bugs on this wtf means no archon class either lovely

i mained ricochet rifle in the prequel, but twisted arbalest is subpar compared to that beast. one reason is that compared to the ricochet rifle, the twisted arbalest is locked into its mod. pretty subpar compared to the mod flexibility of the ricochet rifle.

I did the puzzle for the botl driver , but missed the reward because i was too enamored with the bridge is there i way to get that weapon after finishing the puzzle? i tried doing the puzzle again but to no avail

You must kill Faerin for the Deciet long gun* Killing Faelin will give you the godsplitter melee sword.

Just finished the game, so much better than the first one. I really hope lords of the fallen has secrets like this. Really looking forward to that game too!

To be fair, Lord of the Fallen already had secrets like these. Same deal with bosses having alternate drops based on how you kill or some conditions. They did it first. The Surge also has similar mechanics.
