Oh I played Remnant 2 a lot I have almost 80 hours in the game and I had to stop myself playing it forever too. But it is just so fun I loved Remnant from the Ashes. And Remnant 2 just made me love the series more. I walk around in Remnant 2 as a medic and I have upgraded that class to max to where I have the abilities to not only heal myself in battle or against bosses but also have a passive ability to refill my relics health items after doing a certain amount of damage or kill certain amount of enemies. But yea I love this game and after I catch up on games I have to play on my backlog I’ll return to Remnant 2 and buy the DLC and continue to play it.

Something else thats great, is that refighting the same boss can actually be exciting because a lot of bosses have alternate rewards for different ways of interacting/killing them.

I had played Remnant From the Ashes before so knew I would enjoy Remnant 2. I did have a couple of gripes with the first game, mainly navigating the world. I'm glad they took huge steps addressing this in the sequel. And the revamp of zones like the Labyrinth are great too. One of my favourite games of the last 5 years!!

This was the first game in my life I have ever got 100% Achievement Completion. Truly an amazing game highly recommended. I had no friends to play this with - so I either soloed or used matchmaking (Which is amazing in this game).

"You might quit early on not knowing how much there is" This was almost my experience with Original remnant and I think it mostly boiled down to the way the game difficulty scaled poorly based on a single slot for your gear level rather than a more skill based progression. It did have a very discouraging effect in that the stronger you got the less you felt like you accomplished and things become nearly unplayable very quickly if your not really carefully managing upgrades to sort of limit the enemy scaling. I discovered there were a few mods out there that drastically tweaked the games overall difficulty to a level I could cope with but it does point out that I think a lot of players encounter this kind of thing and just quit and many of those aren't savy enough to actually use modes to compensate. But in my situation once I re-balanced things to a comfortable level I really REALLY enjoyed the narrative and world building. I am glad to hear it looks like Remnant 2 has a much more refined difficulty and progression mechanic and am looking forward to trying it later

Can confirm, this game's a gem. The build crafting is awesome and you can find some really powerful synergies, that are basically game breaking good. And this game has the best, most satisfying loot hunting system of all game's I've played. So many riddles and so much hidden stuff to find.

Certainly not in the way it plays, but Remnant and Remnant 2 always gave me, like... The Secret World vibes, but in a good way. Sort of like what I'd hoped to get out of TSW when it came out. Modern guns with swords and Eldritch Horrors. I haven't actually gone an beaten Remnant 2 yet but the first few hours were great, and I did play through Remnant 1 a couple times. One of the more surprisingly fun games I've played where I went in with virtually no expectations and ended up having a blast.

The best game that went "under the radar" in 2023. Its a full game. You simply dont get "full releases" at launch in current year. The intro isnt even an issue. Just play through it. GamePass? More like GameCrash

You did well explained my favorite game for now 716 hours.. Thats double the time i played elden ring or lotf/lies of p and still playing Remnant2 😵‍💫 In remnant 2 :I am still alive in hardcore mode after my own run and helping players to get their savior gun and you will get addicted with hardcore when you anyway have anything else to get in the normal game.. I love souls games and i played all of them and was not sure if remnant could be something similar to them but it is ...it have his own charme and own mechanics but same is: it requires like all other soul game a lot of time to gain the skill and knowledge for right way to play

The first game was fun enough, but I hated most of the randomized elements. It got so old having to rerun a world for the 30th times because the very specific outcome you needed to get a weapon, armor, or rune just wouldn't show up. I definitely liked it enough(I think I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10)to play this sequel. Just need to wait till all the content is out first.

Yeah, I like secrets too, hidden paths and puzzles, but a lot of them were literally impossible without looking them up or being a data miner yourself. I played through it several times, on the highest difficulty and on hardcore. Eventuelly I started using guides, but even with the knowledge it got a little annoying - hoping for specific maps, rushing though it to look if all the conditions with very low chance were fullfilled to get that one item. At some point I gave up on some items because I got burned out.

I played through it with a friend I also played the first one with. We did a normal playthrough and then did each area with the alternative story once. Took us around 45h. Overall, it felt like Remnant 1.5, basically just everything being bigger and longer. But it had one major flaw and that was that besides weapon upgrades, a lot of armor and equipment was just utterly pointless. You could easily finish the entire game with your starting weapon or maybe only change your weapon once to something more your style... but other than that, the loot was really boring. And there were so many miniscule skills that gave like 1% of something, like a defense, that was just uninteresting. That being said, I'm looking forward to when all the DLCs are out, so we can buy them in a reduced price bundle and play it another 10-20h. Didn't have a lot of crashes, but the performance definitely isn't a highlight.

there are 3 dlcs in total but there might be arumor about another mode coming from an artikel i read with the quote of Gunfire Games Director David Adams: "Right now, we are focused on the second DLC we’re working on. That’s the ‘official’ answer. The ‘unofficial’ answer is we would love to explore a new game mode. Maybe not exactly like Survivor, but something that scratches the same itch." i just love their passion for this game and also Remnant from the Ashes! really love to see more from them! the xbox app i had the most crashes and biggest trubble with and played 1-2 hours constant crashes while on steam its running smoother than cooked butter^^ had in about 200hours not more than 3 crashes! but even for other games i am sorry to say, that games are either crashing or not even starting correctly and thats also a reason why i mostly wont use this pain in the a... service! even their flagship Forza Horizon doesnt work right... it still crashes while starting and with good luck it might starts up... then inside you might be able to play with friends or not if they dont crash everytime they become first and stupid stuff like this...

I bought Remnant 2 on a whim during the winter sale and it was a blast. Only issue with the game i have is the upscaler for AMD is not that well implemented and some secrets are way too obscure. Otherwise great game.

My ONLY issue with this game is the performance. It's significantly better than launch but I still get occasional stutters and lag. Especially in multiplayer. I play on steam. However none of that stopped me from putting over 400 hours into the game haha

It sounds to me as though the game's "secret system" is designed for maximum grind. I kind of liked the first one but I found the bosses way too difficult. This looks great, but the crashing is a total turn off. I bought Aliens Fireteam, and by the time I realised it was unplayably unstable, I was past the refund point. Repeated crashing is completely unforgivable.

I'm confused, you said you played it around Christmas... but to my knowledge the optimisation issues were fixed within a month of the game's release, this is the only place I've heard about them since the game came out, and I don't think my version on the PS5 has ever crashed. I'm guessing it's a multiplayer thing becausevI have seen technical issues with the online multiplayer, but I think that says more about my internet connection than the game.

Sounds like a cool game indeed. Maybe I'll check it out properly on Steam later. I could need a new coop shooter. I still have to play Borderlands 3, but the more the merrier. I don't have hugely positive experiences about Borderlands coop on PC mainly due to cheaters ruining saves, progression and loadouts of people by dropping overpowered, modded gear in public lobbies. Maybe Remnant 2 is better in that regard. Will probably have to try and ask in some detail on its Steam forum how exactly playing with randoms works, as I have no friends who are playing it. But a good solo ARPG shooter besides Borderlands definitely has to go on my wishlist.

The stupid thing about this game is that the story is so damn good and has such great background but unfortunately it does such a terrible job at presenting it to the player unless they seek it out. I picked up Remnant: From the Ashes not too long ago and almost quit it in the first hours because it felt boring, but damn I'm glad I read those entries in the bunker cause it kept me hooked long enough to appreciate the combat. I still think the game has a problem that it just makes you walk around far too much and backtrack because of the ridiculous amounts of directions you can go, but it was a tad bit more tolerable in the 2nd game.

I really wanted to love this game, I loved the first one so much and set aside hours to play this one but the forced tutorial was terrible, slow, and not very helpful, and i couldnt play with my friend for nearly half an hour. After that frustration, i run into the manatagora, the most obtuse boss ive fought, so i spent a bunch of time running around confused, the mantagora was rng with cloner, and me and my friend also ran into secondary bosses, that i later found out there was only a 10% chance of that, and we got two. So we got wrecked. Maybe the rest of the game is really good, and ill prbably go back, but its going to be a long time before i play again. Youre totally coming from a good position, and i get why you love this game, its ostensibly more of the first. To me though, introduction is everything and they fucked me and my frined with rng and a deflating tutorial just stops me from coming through and enjoying the challenge. I love hard games, and i loved the first, but i dont want rng that can ruin a starting experience, and id rather have set boss arenas then a boss that flys around the map. I hope i can come back and give it a chance again, but for now ill stick to the first.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit, IMO it's not some world class amazing title though it does so many areas well and the gameplay loop mixed with loads of variety is what keeps it solid. it's a huge upgrade from the first in every area minus IMO the story was a bit worse in this one however it was more than workable... the "ending" (on Root Earth) was a bit of a cop out... at least from what it seems as it can be taken in several ways of course... that being said from my perspective they seemingly wrote themselves into a corner and went with the way that cheapens it all at least to me. As from what it looks like we more or less play a "save file" and run over and over until we can beat back the root and have a "fresh" save without the data corruption (the root) in our file and the ending pretty much 10X speed runs that in one boss and cutscene, bit lame if you ask me HOWEVER it did the job and does work within the whole game theme.

The opening for this game sucks, but once you get past the tutorial it rapidly becomes great to play. People just have to remember that gear tends to be rewarded from either bosses or environmental puzzles or secrets, so look around carefully.

I need to give it another shot, the opening really dragged on for me the characters and their writing is some of the most boring and predictable stuff I've seen since the 360. Then I finally get to the game and I'm hit with a quick time event to get out of a monster attack and I turned the game off right there.

I don't think you have to worry about negative sentiments when positively reviewing a game. Not if the game is overall well received anyway. If you were to let's say positively talk about SSKTJL then yes, plenty of people would probably dogpile on you and accuse you of being a sponsored shill. But Remnant 2 from when I glanced over it on Steam seemingly was liked by many. People usually are very forgiving or even enthusiastic when CCs they know agree with what is their opinion too. Confirmation bias or whatever that is called. And I'm sure you read some of the comments on your Scars of Honor video where they said you were too gloomy and cynical. A video like this from you can be refreshingly different not only for us watchers but maybe also for you. (?)
