You are so right about having a sanctuary when remodeling. When I purchased my cottage almost 10 years ago it needed a lot of love after being neglected for decades! The only room that didn’t need much done was one of the bedrooms that was able to keep clean. It was also my kitties safe place and having that at the end of the day was restorative to my cluttered mind!
