Very clean bottom looks like the boat has been serviced regularly so was hard to determine how faster that machine is compared to hand held pads. Does that device work when the bottom’s are caked up with barnacles? For example how does that device work in comparison with having to use a scrapping tool and hard scrubbing with a stainless steel pad to get the sediment off the bottom?

It’s a brush and brushes aren’t meant to remove hard growth. But look at my video “Remora Solo Cleaning Foul Bottom” and you’ll see that the Remora can remove small amounts of shelled animal growth. That doesn’t mean you can throw your scraper away however.

What brush are you using in the video? I want to buy one. But I don't know what brushes to buy. I need one for the good paint, one for fair paint and another for poor paint. What do you recommend? And also for the propeller. Can you help me out? Thanks

I use a #0, a #1 and a #2. Many divers also use a #3 but I personally find I don’t have much need for that particular brush.

When you ask “How long does Remora last?”, are you asking about the lifespan of the unit or are you asking how long a battery charge will last?

Good video, but how does it compare to the standard hull pads with old fashioned elbow grease? Is it faster? Or is it easier physically?

Are you kidding me? The Remora Solo is a game changer. Not only is it faster and easier than cleaning boats by hand, I think it does a better, more consistent job as well. My machine paid for itself in about five months, just due to increased productivity. I wouldn't want to do this job without it.

The Remora is not designed to remove shelled animal growth. A good old fashioned metal scraper is still the best way to do that. I keep a 6" and a 12" scraper in my tool kit for those ocassions.
