Are hildioceras older than dactylioceras? They never seem quite so crisp detailed as the dactylioceras.

@Forgotten Fossils but not all fossils are brilliant. I found a section of a worn ammonite in a nodule which is very hard to identify. Seeing fossils that aren't that good but being told what it is would make it easier for us amateurs to recognise them. Keep up the great work look forward to your next video 😃

Enjoyed your vid. Thanks for the offer but where I live I can get my own ammonites and belemites . Fun factor it's in Southern Germany as we had a jurassic sea there once. So we find black and white jurassic fossiles far far away from any "modern" ocean. :) Liked and subscribed.

Don't know how I found your channel, but subscribed! Love it. I haven't fossil hunted for years, but use to do so in Pembrokeshire on childhood holidays in the late 70s. Best biology/ natural history training ever! We used to find mostly fossilised trees, but fascinating nonetheless. Greetings from 🇪🇸
