Cannot stress this enough, this is a really good work around as long as you are using the screen your streaming from, you wont even notice the input lag.

Yeah i agree. A user recently told me that there are third party Remote Play apps with even less input lag, might have to take a closer look at those on the weekend. Also a lot of PS5 games can be played with 0 added lag by using the speciality controller workaround (see my "PS5 XIM Compatibility" video.

Been using remote play with the PS4 pro and using the direct feed from my PS5 with no problems. Playing Black ops Cold War at 120hz feels good! Hoping the team will be able to get the dual sense controller working with the apex. For now this will do.

@@thesillymoose193 D2 probably not since it currently has a Remote Play bug where a DS4 controller is recognized as a PS Vita Remote Play. until this is fixed by either Bungie or Sony id say dont play D2 with a XIM and Remote Play.

Hey, until the XIM PS5 solution is available you basically have two options. The one shown in this video and the Beloader Pro. The Beloader Pro is a little bit better and i covered everything you need to know via a dedicated video.

if i use the xim they way u showed do i have 120fps or just 60fps i‘m not sure because u have 18ms delay so does it mean the fps doesn’t get effected? I‘ve heared it would effect it by 4fps (on 60fps) games so it should be 8fps on 120fps games?

Hey, the fps arent affected by this as long as you play with the monitor/TV that is connected directly to the console HDMI port :).

I haven't tried it yet, I will for the vanguard beta, but I've heard a couple third party remote play apps have even less input lag. Apparently some ppl say the Sony remote play app is not made very well.

I do remember one of them was called ps play and the few that reviewed it said there was less input lag than regular remote play. Its an Android app tho. I'm gonna try it out on BlueStacks and see how it works, only thing* I'm wondering is if it'll display 120hz.

@@Kevin-if6vp Thanks, for the least amount of lag i would recommend to not use the Remote Play videofeed but the HDMI output of your console. Inputs are then sent via Remote Play to the console.

Yes exactly, but you have a few milliseconds of additional lag with Remote Play.

Yes exactly, with a better home network setup you can even get lower. For example in this measurement theres a 2-4 milliseconds DHCP service included plus my rather sub-optimal d-LAN setup that other users might not have. In contrary that may make up for using Wifi. So the average lag you chould face should be around 18 milliseconds, although you can also get lower! Plus it even works with XIM Link.

PS5 games only work with the DualSense controller, the remote play allows you to use a DS4 though. By connecting your XIM setup to the PC you can therefore use remote play to play on your PS5.

@@tradingcards_eastgermany4183 Hey, der Beloader wird in die PS5 gesteckt und dein XIM + PS4 Controller in den Beloader. Ein LAN Kabel geht dann vom Beloader zu deinem Router. Zuvor einfach nur den Beloader per PC mit dem Beloader Manager konfigurieren, sodass dieser sich mit einem PSN Account und Netzwerk verbinden kann. Mehr ist nicht notwendig :).

It doesnt work with both XIM4 and XIM Apex because its a PS5 game. You can however use the trick from this remote play video to use both the XIM4 and XIM Apex in the PS5 version of D2.

This is pretty much impossible, a well trained eye will always spot that you are using a mouse. Also all the things you can do to hide it will pretty much ruin your aim :/.

Yes if you use Sony Remote Play you do not need a Beloader. Remote Play works well in all PS5 games.

Hey, the controller has to be connected to the XIM Hub port 3 with the whole XIM attached to the PC. So basically 1:1 the same setup as if you would connect it to your console :).

Hey, this can have a lot of reasons. Since tracking issues via youtube is kind of difficult i would recommend you to create a support ticket on the XIM website. An engineer will then provide you with several solution steps from which one should solve your issue. Please add your console, attached devices and xim config values to the support ticket.

Hey, you need to save your changes onto the mouse memory. By default the Logitech G Hub will only save it locally on your PC. Also not every mouse has onboard memory, maybe research if the Logitech G203 has onboard memory.

Yes you could do it in the same fashion as the crouch spam config. An actual rapid fire functionality will not be added to the XIM as that violates the ToS of PSN and XBL.

You can use Remote Play for the PS5 version or play the PS4 version of the game, other than that theres no solution atm. Ubisoft now enforces the DualSense controller as the only controller that can be used.

Hey, Help me understand though, why would you use overwatch ps5 version? does this enable 120fps? example: apex legend is absolutely garbage on ps4 since the console itself cannot handle 60fps but it would not make sense to me to play it on ps5 version if is not supported (yet) by xim. I would much rather play ps4 version at full capable 60 fps (since the ps5 can handle that). I'd consider playing ps5 version if there were any graphic performance improvements such as higher fps rate (120)...

Hey, OW doesnt have a PS5 version yet but the PS4 version runs much smoother and with less lag on the PS5 compared to the PS4. For most PS5 games the Remote Play workaround is not needed by the way, you can use the alternative from my "PS5 XIM Compatibility" video.

Which game specifically? If its D2 then its due to a game bug. The game recognizes the DS4 Remote Play as a PS Vita Remote Play. Either Bungie or Sony have to fix this.

Hey, das liegt an der maximalen Drehgeschwindigkeit des Spiels. Wenn du die Maus schneller bewegst als du dich im Spiel drehen kannst dann ignoriert das Spiel das. Resultat ist du erzielst effektiv eine kürzere Drehung obwohl du die Maus relativ weit bewegt hast. Dein XIM zeigt dir per rotem Blinken ab ob du die Maus schneller bewegst als du dich drehen kannst.

XIM Apex wont receive any firmware updates anymore since its out of production for like 3 years now. Together with a P5Mate you could use it in PS5 games though. Customs should not be an issue and sounds like the seller you chose on Amazon didnt properly label the package. I would order from a different source as customs should really be no issue.

@@XIMCentral yes I checked it yesterday on the battlefield 2042 beta screen where you need to press X to enter it worked from the PS4 remote play I used the nacon revalotion pro2 and it works on the main screen of the game so we just need a config for the game but untill now I think I can use the battlefield V config

@@slamacuhh Try it from a different device maybe such as a PC or a phone, both have Sony Remote Play support. Check if it also occurs from there. If it doesnt then it might be the low processing power of the PS4.

That can take weeks if not months, its very challenging. Until then you can either use the Remote Play option (free) or the third party controller option (see my other video on that).

They significantly improved the inputlag of Remote Play, however the Beloader will still perform a lot more responsive.

First the XIM Apex has to work, once that has been achieved it will be analyzed if the XIM4 can also be made compatible. The deciding factor for that is the limited amount of remaining memory on the XIM4. If the required update is too large then the XIM4 cannot be made compatible.

It’s all good, what happened was when I installed BLOPS Cold War on my PS5 I attached my ps4 hard drive and it automatically download the PS5 version and for some reason it thinks that the PS4 version was already downloaded but somehow it doesn’t work, very strange. I ended up deleting the PS5 version and started from scratch and downloaded the PS4 version only and it worked

Hey, you mean with Sony Remote Play? It should work in the same fashion as when playing with your XIM directly connected to the PS5. Check if the console audio settings are correct and that you unmuted your mic through the Share Play video feed.

Hey, Remote Play currently doesnt work very well in D2 as the game recognizes Remote Play as a PS Vita Remote Play. Either Bungie or Sony have to fix this, until then i would recommend you to play the PS4 version on the PS5 which works without Remote Play with your XIM.
