What is P2W in PoGo? Only ML… and you can skip it… everything else? No. Sure, cash grab for dex…. But finally it is still good playable Raids, PvP, collecting as F2P. Don’t get me wrong, I hate these paid tickets too… but it isn’t that impactful… finally I have most legendaries at lvl40-45… but who really cares, if you can do 95% of 5* Raids with 2 accounts.

I drastically cut my spending a year ago when they nerfed remote raids. I had multiple international online communities and raided as much as I could. I miss raiding that way, but I'm rerired now and can't spend like I could then. I don't buy tickets, either, even the $1 community day ones.

Yep, now is hard to ge all the XL candy if you wanna power up legendaries, now with XL bonus (if u raid in person) and IF YOU CATCH the mon you get like 6 XL candies every raid. So MAX a mon you need like: 296 XL candy so basically you need to do like 50 raids and catch the mons every time. So its kind okey... BUT sometimes the Legendary boss is only for a week 7 days, to do 50 raids in person you need to do at least 7 each day.... to much work and time for nothing. And yeah if you try REMOTES that now is more expensive and MORE HARDER TO CATCH well -.- you need to do like 74 raids so... like 13k in pokey coins like... 65/70 dlls O,O!

you get many times 1XL for trading, maybe 1 for transfer. If you catch with mega XL boost and or wetter boost you get 0-2 XL additional. Overall you reach the 300XL in ~40 Raids. I tried it 1time (Rayquaza) out. But it’s still to many for 1 Week(if there is no Raidday or other special event)… but who forces you to get 300XL in this 1 Week? Every Raid comes back multiple times, year by year… no fomo needed for XL. How many times you got Groudon/Kyogre since Primal release? 3times in 1Year?

@@Hubert-rh4hz The context here is raiding in small groups or rural areas... and NOP xl for trade is not always there for example this season is not giving XLS (and even if you can you can trade 1 legendary mon for one XL how many you need to trade to reach 296XL?, and yes if you do PVP master league you need the XL also you want maxout pokemon if you are not raiding in big groups. And the Legendary rotations usually takes 1 year to come back and they stay only 1 or 2 weeks. NO ALL legendaries are in rotation that often... for example Mewtwo when was the last time in raids? (non shadows) 2, 3 year ago? When was the last time you saw Rayquaza in regular raids (non mega)?

Sure it is (XL for trade), always… all you have to do is trade with 100km difference or wait to get the trade bonus (which is there every 2nd season) I m not raiding in big groups either (mostly with 2-3 players), expect what? Today we did shadow Mewtwo with 2 accounts, 1 account only has lvl40 mons) You don’t need lvl50 for PvE… believe me (there are only a few 5* raids where you need more than 2-3 accounts (doesn’t matter if mons a 40 or 50). And yes for ML you have to pay, like I said… but you can always avoid the ML cause there are always a 2nd cup up. Totally fine if you farm and play and pay for lvl50… but don’t tell you need to do that to play the game.

The XL candys from in person raids are guaranteed 3 per raid, the RARE XL candy on the other hand is what you have a chance of recieving. Hope this cleared that up.

I haven't "quit" but I have severely decreased my spending and the amount I raid. The few raid chats I'm on used to be very active and now it can be days between someone posting anything. I get no response when I try to host raids and pokegenie hosting lobbies are longer than the raid timer lasts so I can't even host.

I have massively cut down. The remote raid cost is too much to justify for myself. I no longer buy the comm day $1 research. Used to buy all passes, but now only buy passes for Go Fest, Tours and exclusive mythicals. Nothing else. Not a single remote pass has been bought by me to this day. When you say quit, I have not quit, but I have stayed true to my guns for how little I spend in game now.

I’m guessing they did it to prolong the life of the game. It’s much harder to farm XLs when you’re capped to 5 remote raids a day. If it was a dollar each and unlimited, I would max everything out way too soon and could burn out.

So finally it’s easier to get XL overall… They don’t want players Raid from home, toilet in 10h enough to get 300XL… and I can understand that. I used to spend boat loads of money to this game I was buying so much I would gift my friends random event tickets cause I had it and also go fest tickets but since the nerf and jack in prices over everything I don't or can't do that any more I used to spend hundreds on raids now I barely use them I save my gym coins if I have them I haven't bought a single raid pass since Lugia was in raids last year. At first it was hard to enjoy playing and not raiding so often but I found my groove again. Can't say the same for all the heavies in my small town that stopped playing entirely. I only started playing at the end of last year so I dunno about how it was before but what I do know is niantic doesn't give a damn about remote players like me. I'm the only player on a remote island with 6 gyms and even though I'm at the point were I can do up to t3 raids by myself (with two accounts) and some mega raids, t5 is almost impossible and it makes it hard for me to get people in remotely to do these raids and I have to rely on the remote raid passes to catch most pokemon hell I wouldn't of been able to catch a dialga, 6 groudon and 6 kyogre without them and with mewtwo out I've had no choice but to ask for help from spoofers to even get a mewtwo, which might I add even though it is only around for 2 days I only got to do 1 out of the 3 that spawned in my area.

Now they have to make remote passes quest locked and make so you can get 1 remote a day and stack infinite ones, so remote raid dies but they don't, you will need to play to have it. Maybe doing the first 3 raids reward 1 remote could be the quest. That will make so you would only use it when is a must, like kartana for losers like myself who live in south america

Well, their hasn’t been anything really to raid hard for, I started in 2019 and I’m seeing 4th, 5th runs of the same raid bosses, yes shiny, yes with signature moves, but I already have ones that are 96 or about to tm those moves on. I took an 8 month break from Pokémon GO (June 2023 to February 2024) because of severe dissatisfaction with the state of affairs Niantic forced the game into. The game became a parasite that sucked away my excitement and time. Now that there's a 7000 coin raid pass box in the shop, they really have dropped the ball - no, completely castrated themselves from the community at large. The infinite void separating the community from the executives at Niantic who make their baseless decisions makes me think about the idea that someone should organize a mob of thousands of dissatisfied players to picket their complaints to the company on their grounds in San Francisco until they get answers or arrested. It's an extreme measure, sure, but it may lead to a PR disaster that finally sets the record straight once and for all. There's definitely a ton of illegal stuff going on with regards to how they've changed their policies and hurt so many players.

The online community I helped build up is now completely dead and my spending in the game has decreased dramatically. I used to buy the $4.99 coin bundle every day and do 7-8 raids. Now I might buy it once or twice a month, do a couple raids and not care about the IV or shiny

Good recap. It's reminder that I've passed the one year mark of no remote raiding. I still have the five remote passes bought at the $1 local equivalent right before the nerf. I had a monthly budget for remote passes, but not a penny of that went to Niantic after the nerf. Pretty much $2 is a lot for a chance at the raid mon because they can run from you. That's a lot to flush down the toilet. At best, I only buy the global go fest ticket, the masterwork special research, and a couple special event tickets. I've saved a decent amount. Sorry not sorry, Niantic. You have to earn my direct fun money.

Allow remote raiding 5 star shadows. Even if there is a 1 or 2 per day limit. Rural people will not be able to do the in person shadow 5 star raids. I have tried - searched for any local FB groups and tried campfire. Nothing. I’m not willing to drive 2 hours to a major city just to maybe have a chance to play this aspect of the game. That and reduce price of remote raids to 150 each.

One year of mediocrity and people raiding way less, you can argue you get more value meeting people in person rather than just getting invites + all the spawns you get on the way , eggs being walked ,getting in gyms , finding more shiny pokemon, remotes should be the same price or even cheaper to incentivise people to help out in person raids more, shadow raids are practically dead unless it's Mewtwo and you don't even get good value on them barely any of them are 3* IV and barely any shiny ones, we had a large group today doing as many as possible and maybe 2 people managed a shiny one so they should just let people remote them unless they are going to increase the value on doing them it was practically a waste of time today other than the exp for me other than needing to do some raids for special research

I agree that the boss doesn’t care and it is there game so they can do whatever they will do with there game which is there cash cow and yes they lost money. I’m not here to talk about that. I’m here to talk there I’m willing to admit this I like there new model which actually was enough except for the 5 remote raid limit I think that is too low but I went and tried and well it actually worked overtime so that was good but the limit for me is what killed it. I personally loved there raid days and the limit’s were 20 sometimes 10 I was willing to go along with it cause I love the game and what they were doing. The festivals were so good. I didn’t say I was gonna quit the game I said I would not do so many remote raids and I kept to it about 5 months and it went 6. The raid days and the pogo festival was so good cause we had unlimited remote raids but the 195 which I didn’t care about it. What I cared about was the game and my enjoyment. I wish the limit was 10 or unlimited but the reality is that I had to let it go. I grew up with Pokémon as a franchise I started playing when I was 5 yrs old and I play one on game boy colour then another one and then another one after that I had to upgrade to two more devices to continue it. Game boy advance, then Nintendo DS. After that I went with my phone and played Pokémon mobile puzzle game a weird title but that is why I know that Mewtwo got two mega’s that is insane to me and not that it only blew my mind. The point is that it eventually got to pogo for 8 years. The thing is I’m 34 yrs old and still going strong. Cause I love Pokémon and I’m willing to do whatever it takes. Money is disposable. Money for me does not buy happiness however if u have enough it will bring closer and closer to it. My point is that paying and working hard for me is what got me what I wanted most of the time and that is usually good enough for me. See ya on the next vid.

Im one of those ppl who did not like remote raids 🤷‍♂️ I am bias I never really spent money on this game the first few years bcus it is “mobile” not until remote raids. It conditioned me into spending money which may be one reason for them. In my opinion giving everyone every pokemon takes the rarity and adventure out. I use it as a fitness game and exploring is actually my favorite thing. I like the idea that I can go to another continent n they have different pokemon than me. It’s encouragement to explore n find the rarest Pokemon in your area, poke-stops or not. Ppl like Poke AK should be gym leaders or elite member bcus they actually spend thousands of hours and travel the world to catch pokemon which the majority of us cannot do. If you meet Poke AK u should want a battle, and there should be rewards for beating him, like the games or anime in real life. But there’s no incentive to even specialize a certain type. Biomes are my favorite feature for exploration. To be able to go to water n catch water types is next level lol but the incentive and fun is gon bcus of remote raids and events. Collecting a not a cool bcus we all have everything. If I met someone from Japan I wouldn’t even try to trade bcus we both have the same stuff. They dropped the ball on having teams mean something or being able to join a faction for a type or like team rocket. They dropped the ball on giving badges a function in the game or having poke centers…. I play everyday bcus I make my own fun I can’t lie I love pokemon. But they r back tracking bcus they realized remote raiding destroyed a lot of MMO elements in the game. Everyone CANT have everything 🤷‍♂️ but if u grind u can be powerful that’s Pokémon 101 lol I feel like customizing the avatar is more back tracking. If we had less Pokemon, shinies, and events and more basic RPG functions I feel like we’d all be more fulfilled and not just dumping money bcus we want a chance to have fun 🤦‍♂️ like u said I have a life and I don’t play enough to spend this much a month on pokemon go lol I came into this game expecting a slow grind… it’s POKEMON lol after all these years I’m finally decent in the game n my reward is to spend more money 😂

Yeah- They "rebalanced" the game back to highly populated city dwellers being able to whale all day, every day, every event & shafted players from smaller townships & rural areas who now struggle to host any raids in person, as people are no longer happy to remote in outside of raid days. I literally had to purchase a subscription to another app just so I could host 5 or 6 legendary raids during raid hours consistently, otherwise I'm lucky to find enough remote raiders just to get a single raid done during raid hours since the nerf- am I butt hurt about it still? Yep. Am I gonna quite playing? Nope- that achieves nothing for me as Niantic doesn't care about players- they made that perfectly clear... What they do care about is people spending money on their game- so I went mostly FTP after the nerf & I'm still mostly FTP (I do buy the global 'go fest' & 'tour' tickets every year, so I don't consider myself to be entirely free ftp), before the nerf I was purchasing the 14500 coin pack twice per month. I've not purchased any coins since the nerf & the coin price increase (we no longer have the 99cents for 100 coins bundle- it costs us $1.70 for 100 coins, which makes the 3 pack RRP bundle a $8+ purchase now instead of the $3 it used to be) 🤑🤮

So you get 50 coin per day even if 10 pokémon get defeat from a arena but your pokémon is sometime 10 day in so you need 4 day just for 1 and not allow in shadow raid aswell seem very smart from a company who don't play they'r game even more when you not in a huge city , i play because " pokémon go " but honestly it's getting stupid " complete thé Pokédex " you can't get Legendary most of the Time in this situation

used to play Pogo hardcore but now i'm just F2P, i don't feel like getting robbed anymore. my main focus switched to PokeMMO 2 years ago, which has been so much better.

Eh, it's kind of a good thing tbh it encourages people to get out and take part in the community rather than just sit in their rooms, meetups is what keeps the game going and keeps content online interesting

Yeah I’m not spending anymore money on this game. I’m level 45 a busy day. Work 5 days a week and the game keeps getting harder to participate. Mewtwo raids look fun but I’m too anti social for that😂. Plus I have my son on the weekends. All I do is catch, spin, battle league because I’ve poured too much time and money in the game I feel like I can’t quit😑 as much as I want too

Niantic trying to make the most they can. It's sad. Before the raid nurf and the price hike.. people were in discord 24/7 raiding no matter what legendary/mega . Even 3 stars!! Now ur lucky if you get in some day one then it dies for the rest of the month. Niantic Killin they own GAme

I quit spending money (aside from community day research and big events like Feb tour and go tour....but didnt buy the big research tix) and just knowing how much Niantic cares not for their player base (yknow, the reason why the CEO gets the big bucks) killed the love for a game that truly got me through the pandemic. f*uck them and their greed. Also wouldnt catch me dead paying for an event tivket where you'd pay for what you used to get for free. no thanks. xo

Both passes have always been overpriced. Remotes should be like 50 coins and regulars 20 coins. $1 & $2 for a single raid that awards what it does makes those prices ridiculous

You always get 1/day for free… right now 2/day… at Raiddays 6 or 7… and you can get 50coins/day for free, which leads into 1000-1500/month or 15green passes/month. And all raids always come back… and it doesn’t really matter if your Pokémon is lvl43, 45 or 50. So if you wanna finish all your legendaries, it’s more your own desicion/problem.

Lol if you think these prices are bad, you should see how Monster Hunter Now is monetized… the game’s version of raids are 2x the price and even lower value, there’s no way to earn premium currency for free, and there’s no regional price changes for lower economic countries like where I live.

I did quit the game. I'm watching the youtubers to see if there's any hope on the horizon, but clearly that ship has sailed and sank like the titanic. Thanks Niantic for the bad deal.
