I agree ss66er. Like minded people like us investing in special expensive gear as tents, sleeping bags rucksacks ect are not the type to be getting shit faced drunk and running around with t shirts off singing let's go FFFING mental. We go these beautiful places to get away from all that, peace one with nature, loving the outdoors and away from all the virtual brainwashed looking at screens life! Best wishes
@slippery9993 жыл бұрын
@@garnzaonthenet whilst I agree with most of the sentiments expressed here and I accept that fly campers tend to stick to lay-bys, and anything within staggering distance of a car park my concern is just sheer numbers all using the same places. There seems to be a growing cohort of people wild camping for the first time that fall between those responsible people that have been doing it for years at one end and the fly campers at the other. These people seem to be well equipped; decent tents, waterproofs etc and with mapping on phones now they are able to get to more remote places but have no idea about their impact on the environment and landowners. Lighting fires, washing pots and pans in tarns, camping on delicate surfaces. One recent video I saw, a guy camped in a wood and mentioned that the area in front of his tent where he camped turned into a muddy mess. He also lit a fire, brought a chair and several cans of beer and he wasn’t a fly camper but was “getting into wild camping”.
