I just bought one last Wednesday and I'm seeing exactly what you are saying. I just told my husband this morning that the clothes around the outside of the washer were not moving so the agitator wasn't doing it's job and my clothes aren't getting clean. The water level never reached beyond about mid-way up maybe less. I remember when the agitators were so strong it looked like it could take your arm off. You could actually see the clothes being rotated from the outside in. My husband said the worse thing they did was putting a clear top on it so you could see everything that was wrong with it. 😂😂😂. I'm hoping Lowes will let me exchange since it's only been a week.

Are you experiencing any issues with sudsing at the drain pipe? I understand that is a known issue with that model of SQ.

@@annika777 wow I wrote out a long reply and my comment got deleted for some reason. Ugh...let me try again. I have not had the issue but I did read about it before purchasing it. I've tried to prevent it based on what I saw in the video..I've been using either vinegar in the softner dispenser or baking soda with the detergent in the loads (I saw an unrelated article about baking soda helping with suds too). Also, I absolutely love this thing. It fits a lot more than I thought it would. It fits my king duvet. It also fits a huge blanket from Sam's that's thinner than a comforter or duvet but HUGE! We saw in the manual it can fit up to 16 lb dry weight so we weighed and then weighed holding the blanket and it seemed okay so we tried it. It washed it great! I was so surprised...so honestly, there's nothing I have that it won't wash. It also washes pillows great..my old one use to get off balance with pillows and not clean them well. This one doesn't get off balance and they actually come out clean. I am so happy I decided on this one!

@@annika777 exactly! Every time I thought I had one picked out I changed my mind after seeing the negative reviews. We are a family of 10(8 children) so we have a lot of clothes. I was worried about the size but I'm amazed at what it fits. They say you can actually fill this one to the top because the water covers it unlike others...and it's actually true !! I literally wash the same amount of clothes in this one as I did in my 5+cu washer without an agitator... Seriously! I didn't think it would fit so much but decided to go with it because I figured with it only taking 30 minutes vs 1.5-2 hours per load, I could do 3-4 loads in the same amount of time but i don't have to! And the thing is, I can literally tell our clothes are much cleaner and smell better!

At least you got the superior TC model and not the TR, which is garbage as it doesn't wash well. Speed Queen washers are built like a tank!

I just bought this set from a local appliance store and in 3 weeks I can say that everything in your video is true and there are other problems. It does not clean clothes well, whether using the agitator or not. If you don't use it, you will barely have enough water and your laundry will really get worn out quickly. The agitator barely moves the clothes! If you have kids with stained clothes- stay away from this washer. Even after a 30 minute pre-soak which is proving to be a routine necessity, the clothes aren't cleaned well. Have bulky items like comforters or small throw pillows - stay away. The machine isnt large enough (unlike what I was told) and if it can't stay balanced, it will simply cut off and the "DONE" light comes on as if the cycle has completed. There is no beeping or alarm to let you know that there's a problem. It isn't digital so no error code. The experienced repair person that came to my house said that I needed to take bathroom rugs comforters and throw pillows to a laundromat! Certainly not what the sales person told me! The deep water function is inconsistent in providing an additional 2 inches of water. The water levels are very inconsistent. There is no soap dispenser tray. The directions say to pour the detergent in the bottom prior to loading clothes and they recommend using a downy ball. Stay away from this machine! You'll never feel like your clothes are really clean because they won't be!

Mine does laundry about five days a week. I haven't had any problems with it. Clothes come out just fine. No build up. I don't know what you're talking about. If I had any concerns it would be that it is noisier than the LG I used to have.

Lol mixed reviews. I just looked at washers today, and on 3 different independent sites, this washer is listed as the number 1 washer on the market. They did 500 loads in each washer and said tbis washer cleaned them the best. I'll see I purchased it today and will get it Tuesday. BTW, there were 5897 reviews. the majority were 5 and 4 , and only 32 1 star reviews. The majority pf people were pleased with it.

@appliance-insider Just got it delivered. Performed 1 quick wash empty. It's recommended to do to quick washes no clothes to clean the washer from . preservatives. This machine isn't noisy. The action is fine. If this can't clean your clothes I doubt anything will. This is and will be a fine washing machine.

@SecretplaceintheGlory The washer works great. I did some gardening and made sure to ger extra dirty. I put the soiled jeans, shirt in with some other clothes on Norma. I'm using Armand Hammer pods on cold. Clothes came out great. I would wash sheets without the agitator in. The sheets will bunch up and won't spin down.That isn't a big deal for me. I've washed my winter king comforter, an electric blanket no issues. I think it's a great washer.

Also mention with the blankets and sheets with the washplate at the bottom that can lead to the sheets and blankets stretching across the center leading it to tear. That has actually happened with my grandma a long time ago when she owned a washer with a washplate…

I am struggling with mine, it has problems with the board and cycles are messed up. However to your point about the agitator, you can take it off and clean it. That's not as much of a problem as the inability to run a second rinse. You can set the deep water for more water and can run a small amount to fill it some more. I actually like the agitator because it isn't tearing holes in my clothes like my older machine did. I also stop the cycle and let my loads soak 15 minutes (in addition to the wash /rinse cycle) in the wash and 15 minutes in the rinse. I haven't had a problem with my clothes not getting clean There are some items that shouldn't be washed with an agitator like mattress pads and this is when it helps to be able to remove it. So while it can be annoying for how long it takes to wash, I have learned to make the best of it.

@@AccordingToRobin I forgot about this message tbh, but figured I'd reply back since i've had it for awhile now (*also have the gas dryer that's working great too) Aside just getting use to the settings, (I ended up printing out the specifics in case I feel the need to double check load instructions) and being mindful of the types of loads I do, it's actually working pretty well and everything I've done so far (clothes/sheets & comforters - both little & heavily dirty) have come out fine. The only issue I've actually had with the thing was having to re-do the water hose that the installer had poorly done which was thankfully easy enough to fix.

@ I’m glad it’s working for you. I notice on deep water, it still doesn’t fill the basin and I don’t like having to put the soap in the bottom then put the clothes right on top of that. I got out voted, we told them to come pick them back up, we’re getting something else.

@@AccordingToRobin I've seen some comments on that, though personally I haven't really noticed the deep water issue (though i've only used it a few times to be fair); and I just throw the soap on top and things seem to still clean fine. WISH I HAD SEEN THIS BEFORE 😭 Absolutely true! 9 months and it's been awful since Day one. Wish I did not purchase this machine. After the first week I contacted the company we purchased it from but we could not return it so I've been stuck with it ever since. Clothes are not getting cleaned and now we're developing skin irritation issues and didn't dawn on me until last week that it could be the washing machine. Soap is not being rinsed, clothes is not getting cleaned. I don't care what anybody says about technology and how great it is I miss my old manual Kenmore 😮‍💨

Only good thing about it is you can wash pillows & heavy blankets when you remove it, if u leave it in it bangs hard & goes off balance when it goes into the spin cycle.

I had this model for 14 months. The first time it failed was when the cheap plastic door lock broke. It just turned it into a big white brick. Fixed under warranty. The second time the pump or motherboard failed two months out of warranty. It stopped draining and the lights on the panel were flashing. It’s out of warranty. Whirlpool’s response was call a repair shop or they would give me 20% off of a new whirlpool machine. No…. Don’t buy this piece of junk if you are looking for a washing machine.

How this machine got past the drawing board is beyond me. Seriously its only function is to clean clothes, and it can’t even properly do that. The agitation is so bad, the top half of my load doesn’t even get wet because there’s no agitation to pull it under the water! Plus the water level is so weak to begin with, not nearly enough is used for the size of loads.

Whirlpool is definitely the same appliance manufacturer as it was years ago. Here is the issue with Whirlpool, it is owned by Maytag which is a junk company. That's why I will NOT recommend any HE washer because it is just total bullshit, because of the fact that it doesn't get clothes clean, and cycles take over an hour and you have to rewash each load like two or more times to get it clean, meaning it is NOT really high efficiency after all the electricity wasted on trying to get clothes clean. If you want a real top load washer that cleans clothes in a half hour thoroughly, then you are better off either saving a few hundred dollars and buying a speed queen, or find a vintage 1980s Kenmore washer from a local shop that sells and repairs vintage appliances. This is why I miss my old whirlpool washer from the 90s.

Is the worst piece of crap I ever bought , I had 2 wash machines in my life, one last 20 years and the other 22 years , this one didn’t even made it few months and the problems started slowly but steady, it makes constantly loud clicking sound when it change cycles and it starts make loud noises (I have to have headphones on to be able to go in my laundry room ) and it gets worse , luckily I got extended insurance, will call them and hopefully they can fix it or I will drop it off to Lowe’s again , so who ever read the reviews here DO NOT BUY IT , find a different one
