I know it's 7 years after you posted this video, but wanted to say THANK YOU!! This helped me tremendously in removing my 2006 M35 driver's side panel so that I could swap out the master window switch assembly. Took less than 1/2 hour from start to finish thanks to this video - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Between this video on how to remove/replace the door panel AND your mirror removal video, I was EASILY able to replace my 2006 Infiniti M35x passenger side mirror. It came apart and went back together again just as you have shown. The whole process was a fairly relaxed ~30-45 minutes from start to finish! KUDOS! I can't remember the last time I worked on a modern car and everything went as advertised. Thanks for posting this video! I also have a weak window motor on that door and I almost look forward to replacing it when it finally gives up the ghost. ;-)

The convenience button on the outside of my drivers door to lock/unlock has not worked since I got side swiped. Is this maybe a loose connection I can get to by removing door skin? Or something more complex

EdBwoy yeah, it took a little time and only snapped a plastic clip, but it's a replaceable one. The latch was seized, so I reached inside and moved it around, then sprayed the hell out of it. I unlatched the door from inside and it came open. It works fine now. I bought the car for parts for my 240. Rear lsd,axles, and 5 lug swap, but it was a nice car so I put it on insurance and it runs fine. They thought the trans was bad and I added fluid and it works fine. Bought it for 500 bucks. Everything works now.

I couldn't see clearly at the end, but does removing the panel give full access to the exterior door handle assembly (for replacement) or are there other connections, cables, wiring etc still blocking it's removal?I'm wary of attempting the panel removal and door handle assembly replacement, but if it's no more complicated than you've shown (thanks again) I might convince myself to give it a shot.

Unfortunately it is not a straight path to the door handle. It is manageable, but it is not a great open access

Is the 03/04 gen same way? Has the mirror feature 1-2 set on driver side panel but other than that looks similar to the 2006 and up gen?

I hope you got it done safely. It has been a while since I touched the Y34 panel, but the principal was pretty much the same Nissan fare - screw behind door handle escutcheon, and others either on the handle pocket or underneath the handle.

Yes sir it's pretty easy helps to have pry tools OE specs for sure or gentle hands with gloves. The regulator is a like hand trap with gears shaped jagged with clamp and yes be very careful as can cause serious injury. Learned a lot from you, the channel and hands on.

That's great, but I have a passenger door that will not open any suggestions? Had the same issue on the driver's side door but it was still in warranty at that time. So the dealer took care of it.

Is the handle getting stuck? Or the mechanism is broke & the handle loose? Someone in the comments section mentioned having such a problem & they only sacrificed one broken clip.

@@EdBwoy on the dash board there's a VDC LIGHT and a slip light both are on... i know that VDC stands Vehicle Dynamic control. i think both of the lights have something to do with the traction or the awd system. wanted to know what would make them stay on. and it looks like you know a great deal about these cars. i didn't want to take it to infinit was hoping it was something i could do myself. but if you find out anything let me know if you can.

Yes, you have to. It is screwed in from the bottom.

Hey i just bought an 03 m45. I knew i had to get a new battery, but never had the time. The battery died and now i cant open the car door because the previous owner only had the key fob. Whats the best way to get into the car?

If the key fob didn't come with the blade insert, then the best way is to call a locksmith or AAA to unlock it. Ask if they can rekey the door too. I kept a plain blade key for emergencies

get a key made from locksmith make sure the key they cut for you is compatible with v8
