Hello, I have a 2014 QX60 that has handle broken from the back where it latches (the button side). I used your video to remove the handle, however, I cant find any thing/place on the inside where the new handle catch get hooked/latched to. I even removed the door panel in desperation but the back side of the lock is contained in a plastic assembly. I pushed through my finger from outside and saw it on the inside of the door but there is no place where the new handle can hook on to. Is my inside assembly broken or am i missing something. Thanks in advance for answering my comment.

Hello and thanks for watching the video, I’ll share with you my experience of removing or installing door handles. Most handles that aren’t electric will have a latch that is activated by a metal spring, your fingers will not be small nor long enough to reach from the outside. You’ll need to use a hook tool to pull it towards the outside of the door and somehow keep it in place so that the handles latch will grab on. Most of the time you will have to hook the latch inside and then use a flat head screw driver to push it to stay from the inside of the door where the panel goes. Thanks for the vid! My M37 just came back with a whole right side fix (doors and rear panel were hit). I have to do the very same (replace the rear handle). But I got stuck with the door alignment too. Do you have any tips, how to lift the rear door a bit, as their fitment is way too bad horizontally!

Great video, but I’m stuck at the part after loosening the t screw. I can’t seem to wiggle the lock cylinder away from the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To remove the lock you would have to remove the door panel to do so. There’s a rod that is latched keeping it connected, it is the door locking mechanism switch.

Thank you! My latch was sticking out inside of down for the door handle to catch it. I had to take the door panel off, and remove the entire handle mechanism to move the latch back to its correct place! It's good now! Thank you!!

Im doing my qx60 door handle now, the new handle doesnt mean to want to latch and catch the door . Do you by chance know why? Its just loose and wont work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you kindly!

There’s a silver latch located inside of the door panel that hooks onto the handle. You may have to use a flathead screwdriver to push it towards the end where it latches, once you position it in the right place you should have access to connect the handle.

Thanks bro! I had to remove the door panel and handle mechanism to move the latch back to its correct place! It's good now! I tried the screw driver without removing anything and the latch wouldn't move like it was stuck. Your video is absolutely gold bro! Merry Xmas!!
