This video was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again for putting these out and making our lives easier. I was wondering what year that bike was. Mine looks just like it (2008 Night Train), but my bolts behind the splash guard are different. Only a single little one at the bottom that takes an allan head and the two securing the fuse panel are also allan head...

lots of ways to skin a cat. I personally pulled the exhaust, strut that goes from frame to case in front of tank, and completely removed oil lines from engine and tank. Gives me more room to work, don't have to struggle as much but takes more time. Nice video that shows a good angles, thanks. Also I didn't have anyone assisting me either. I may have missed it in your video, but I put blue loctite on all the fasteners when I reassembled.

This video is really helpful for me. I'm half way there. What I've noticed with mine is when I pulled the two upper oil lines, there was a lot of loose rust and it can enter the oil tank. I used a vacuum while pulling the inner upper line. Some rust debris did enter my tank while pulling the first line. I'll have to find a way to get it our or find a way to flush the tank. Thanks again. 😊

Why don't you tell people the truth on this job instead of making it sound easy. First of all, Virtually NO ONE sells a long extended 1/4 inch hex long enough to do the job. It's no wonder you made your own. They only sell them online but when you already have your bike torn apart, you don;t have time to order online. Then, there's the issue with the wiring harness. You make it sound like it's no big deal to just move it out of the way. BULLSHIT! They won't budge, even with the zip ties cut off. I suggest you give a difficulty rating so one can make an informed decision on whether or not to do the job themselves. For a professional, it's probably easy but if your not, it's damned near an impossibility. Now my bike is torn down on my driveway with parts everywhere and it's going to rain tomorrow. I need a traveling mechanic.
