I have an old M35 army truck. I tried like hell to remove the Budd spud nuts with the half-assed bar and socket the army used. What a waste of time. I stood on a cheater bar and bent the cheater bar. I knew there had to be a better way. I searched on KZbin for how to remove stuck nuts on large trucks. This video was the first one I saw. I promptly found a similar unit on Amazon. It was $69. With tax came to around $74.00. Just used it this morning. My God what a difference. I loosened 6 budd nuts on a wheel in about one minute. An ingenious and simple tool. I'm so glad I found this video. Best $75, I've spent yet. Thanks for the video.

Got one similar for undoing the nuts on our timber harvester wheels, absolutely brilliant after struggling with lengths of scaffold bars. Used it to tighten up a wheel bearing to 2500ftlbs with my 300lb torqie wrench, not sure how accurate the multiplication was, but we did a better job than the previous owner !

I have used that torque multiplier tool but it is heavy and not very easy to use.And than I baught Milwaukee 1/2 inch drive brushless impact wrench, super fast and easy.If you are not careful eith torque multiplier you might loose a wheel or break studs. With Milwaukee I put setting power torque setting on #2 and when it stops it is perfectly torqued and safe.

Just curious if you have a smaller compressor that wasn’t able to drive the one inch impact. Because like a 80 gallon with a larger diameter hose would probably do it. I know even with car lug nuts you can’t use small diameter air hoses like the slinky ones if that’s what you used.

The point of this tool is to mainly get you out of a jam, I would tighten it as much as possible and then perhaps stop off at a shop to get it torqued right…. Unless you can buy a tool to torque it.

Grease it. Otherwise it well get hot, and the gear teeth will break inside, also try to help it out by spraying lug nuts with wd40, and let it set for about 30 minutes. Be safe out there brother.
