Before uses 3000K light bulb or probably less about 2000 Kelvin light, after uses 6000K light bulb. Thanks for showing us the light difference between an incandescent 2000K light bulb and a led 6000K light bulb 😅

I thought the same but wouldn't a strap look even more yellow under a 6000k light because of the contrast?

I used the exact same product as in this video plus scrubbed the straps etc with a nail brush. It has improved the colour considerably to the point I wouldn't feel embarrassed wearing it again. However there is still a slight yellow tinge of discolouration so I haven't managed to get it to the point of looking brand new. But it definitely cleans it as mine was really discoloured but I've ordered a different coloured strap and watch face as it's not a job I want to keep on doing . But great video and thanks for the tip.

There are so many of these videos but the general consensus is that these methods do not work. It's something molecular that happens with the plastic itself and bleaching or using peroxide won't take the yellow out since its internal. It's probably new straps he threw on. I think a better alternative would be to dye the straps. Maybe a quick dye to keep the transparency sort of a cream or light beige color etc. That's what I plan on doing. I don't trust these peroxide methods anymore since all the other videos are full of people saying it doesn't work at all.

Hi. I just want to let you know that this instruction is really effective. I tried it on my GA 100 model. I followed your instruction and it worked. Now my watch case is 99% clear. 1% is for the little but not obvious yellowish part. Maybe because i only used 12% content on the Hydrogen Peroxide i used. This is the only one available in my country. In fact there is a bonus on your suggestion becuase i used it on the sole of my adidas superstar shoe sole who is already turning into orange. Guess what it also turned into white now. Again it helped me a lot to save on buying new wether watch case or shoes etc.😊👍👏

the answer is: it depends upon the temperature and uv amount the plastic is exposed to.

What detergent did you use? The mild detergent you used seemed to work great on the face cover. Why not just use that on the straps as well?

Instead of using cream peroxide, can we just use the peroxide liquid that’s available at a chemist and put a bowl of that in the sun?

Dont use 12 percent hydrogen peroxide, use anything below 10 percent composition. Soak the straps in the liquid while it is in the sun, u dont even have to do this for a few hours, just a few minutes and the yellow is completely gone. The thing is, this is how you will have to clean your white/clear/beige coloured silicone watch from now on unless you keep the watch in direct sunlight all the time which is impractical and bad lol. I have a wenger chronograph watch thats natrual beige/cream coloured, face included. Over 8 years the parts of the silicone straps where it meets the watch casing started yellowing and you can tell because the shade was no longer matching the beige colour of the watch face. I did to those straps what was explained in first paragraph and they're back like new. The only problem is, this is how i have to clean the watch every time i want to go out. Sometimes i dont even have to use peroxide, it just turns back to its normal colour if im wearing the watch on a hot/sunny day but indoors it gets the yellow stain again.
