Removing A Damaged Nail | Andrea Fell Down The Stairs

Hiya,
Today we’re going to show you Andrea’s nails after and accident, send all your love in the comments.
So we’re going to remove them for a brand new set to make her feel better. I’m going to start with the stones, using an old pair of nippers. I’m then going to use a de-bulking bit and start with the poorly thumb. Andrea will tell me if this hurts and I’m going to keep moving to avoid friction burn. I’m then going to use the Gel Polish Remover Pads to remove the last of the acrylic on all the nails. Once I’ve removed the acrylic I’m going to prep the cuticles and apply cuticle oil to rehydrate the nails and skin.

So glad she is ok! Falling down any level of stairs is terrifying on the way down and those first few seconds after you land and don't know if you're hurt yet! She does have really beautiful natural nails!

Falling down the stairs is the worst. Not only does it hurt like hell but it scares the piss right out of ya! If I even slip in the stairs my heart jumps into my throat and starts pounding like I’ve just seen my own death! I once dropped my little sister when she was only a couple months old. Thankfully I was sitting in a chair so the fall wasn’t really all that far. She was perfectly fine but I was TERRIFIED to hold her for weeks!

Well, thank goodness she didn't break anything but a couple of nails, but, I'm sure her bruises hurt. I fell down about 6-8 stairs during my second pregnancy. Slid, was a bit more accurate as I had on a pair of Adidas track pants that were slippery. Thankfully, I didn't hurt anything but my pride and my gluteus maximus 😂😂. I was bruised black and blue for almost 3 weeks. Baby was ok 💕💕

I feel Andrea’s pain, well about the nails anyway. Something like this is when I would call my nail lady and say “girl, I have a nail emergency 🚨 when can you get me in to fix it?” I can’t have broken or missing nails. It messes with my mind and self esteem. Lol

I have a soft spot on my natural nail right in the middle, there’s actually a tiny hole that my nail bed is exposed, can I put acrylic over it to keep it protected? Will it still heal under acrylic?

Oh poor thing! My mom did that while taking the garbage outside and fell and broke her ankle compound fracture and dislocation she had to have surgery. I personally think she just did it to get a week vacation in the hospital away from all of us family..... she was bruised so badly it scared the nurses when they changed her her back and poor bum. I am one of those people who when they fall down the stairs or what not like have a bad seizure the first thing I do is check my nails to see if they are ok before I check my head or anything else. They are the most important!

LadyFirefly not something I’ve heard from Kirsty, but I have from other nail youtubers. The nail youtubers that do nails full time as well tend to have dust collectors. I believe the nail youtubers that only do nails for youtube don’t have the dust collectors because it’s less necessary to have a dust collector for the odd set. I think noise plays a part in it as well x

I think anyone who has ever got a decent bruise knows what you mean by burger bruises. I know Andrea said it didn't hurt when you were filing over that damaged thumbnail but it still made me cringe lol. I'm glad Andrea was okay aside from the bruises and broken nails.
