Add fluid to your torque converter before installing Also stop for converter bolts did not fit It's easier to check fitment size prior to installing

Very helpful I’m use to older vehicles having that dust cover or whatever under the flywheel my 02 Yukon did not so I wasn’t sure how to go about that. Saved me so much time thank you!!!

I think very good video and in plain terms .. Very informative and well done explaining step by step illustration ..Every job will have its problems and quirks but you hit the basics pretty good. Thanks

Future. On LS flywheels have a pilot hole put that bolt in first you don't have to keep rotating it

Amazing that dealership gets $1,200 for this swap
@RockyRepairs Жыл бұрын
Amazing because he didn’t need to lift up a truck, remove a drive shaft, replace seals, lubricate bolts, use a transmission jack under a truck … then also add fluid, run through the gears, test drive it, warranty the work, etc. $1200 sounds fair considering it’s usually $100 hourly rate

What about the spacing between the torque converter and flex plate
@swervinrigg2096 ай бұрын
Measure the gap then subtract 1/8 anything thats left thats the gap you have to fill with washers use 1/8size washers if you can
@joecepeda48976 ай бұрын
Does it matter what material the washer is made of or as long as its 1/8 thickness

Is there NOT a bolt stud (for the bell housing to the block) in the 1 oclock position? I see one at the top at 12 oclock and one at like 3 oclock. Is it just missing or not needed? At 11:32 you can see what I'm talking about. Thx.
@swervinrigg2094 жыл бұрын
Lol dont worry about that one that literally has no bolt or stud for it G.M shenanigans I even went and checked a block I have out here
@TXTRUSTUD4 жыл бұрын
@@swervinrigg209 Ha ok, yea it looks shallow on mine too. Looks like there's 2 bolts at the bottom and 5 stud bolts around and then that weird one by the start that is it's own bolt, so 8. Sound right to you? Thx for going and checking your block man. Appreciate it.
