Thanks, this video helped me with a similar problem! You can leave the cluster in place if you use a 90 degree pick tool to release the cylinder.

a new set of keys should come with the part

No it will not. You can go to a locksmith and rekey the door and trunk with the new key

I ordered it from Oreillys! I still have the original one and plan to get it fixed one day.

@@sundownracing so i bought an mr2 sw20 and it dont have keys and i wont have the title for a while. peopel in the mr2 group told me i can ket the key code off the passenger door lock. you know of any instructions on removing the door locks??

@warrenpeas I have heard of that but I don’t know how to remove it. Best bet is to search the MR2 forums and hope they’re well explained. You should be able to get the vin from the car and go to toyota or a locksmith and have them make a key for you though
