Great DIY video and funny too. Though I have an 848, your video helped me big time. Saved me from over tightening the pinch bolts. I surely was going to use the 19nm listed in my manual. Thanks for vid.

Thanks for this. Great and simple to understand. I've never done my own maintenance but now I go to the track often Ive needed to change from wet to dry wheels and it was getting costly. Though getting that spindle out was far far more difficult than yours was! I had to 'knock' it with a piece of wood on one side, twist & pull on the other using pliers and a screwdriver in the recess.

Sweet video. Just replaced the rear tire and that was simple, other than the 55mm torqued to 7542135 foot/pounds! Was wondering how much of a chore to do front wheel. Not to bad it looks! P.s. that shaft looked well lubed!

Please give me advice on how you used the Pitbull stand and it didn't put pressure on the nose fairing of your bike. I have an 1199 and it presses so hard on the fairing it scares me.

Love your videos and have just subscribed. Tried 2 front stands on my 1299 S today and neither worked. Ended up using the fork style one in a dodgy set up... anyway, your pit bull one seems to work well - the one I tried wouldn’t work without trying to push up through the headlight cowling. Which model do you have and are you able to do a video on it?? Thanks

Dutchman still have your Ducati? If so, weird question to ask, but cant find any information on this. I have a 1199s and there is some sort of plastic cover that covers the triple clamp opening, so I cant use the pit bull stand. Did your 1299 have the same cover?

Why are you supposed to lift the rear wheel before lifting the front? Is that Panigale-specific, or does it apply to all bikes?

It's for stability, and no it's not Panigale specific.

Very nice! Would you mind telling the wonderful world of Ducati riders how you managed to remove the broken screw? Would be very interesting as a bike talk... I will say that there is no tension, since the head went off, but it most likely has some tight friction against the bottom of the thread...

But sir!! Isnt there any electronics that r connected to the ABS or DTC system ?? becoz all of a sudden, since i gave my 1299 for a complete wash and few chemicals being used on the front wheel all over it to remove stains, I feel that the wheel is less grippy and kinda out of control during cornering turns... kindly help!! Thanks for reading.

Finally getting around to buying pets to do this. Why go for the headlift/triple tree style paddock stand over the more traditional stand which lifts from the base of the forks?

I figure the only functional benefit of one type of stand over the other is that this one let's me keep the bike on the stand while removing the forks.

Zombie donor bikes is a very common Ducati dealer practice. It becomes an interesting ethical issue when they part customer bikes that are in the shop waiting for service, and they fail to inform either party.

Ya I just tried to pull the wheel off without taking the caliper off. The bolts for the brake lines dug into the wheel while I was trying to pull it out. So I dug into the powder coating about the size of a dime. Not my smartest time, and should have listen to the video.

A torque wrench in inexperienced hands does more harm than good. I've seen so many cracked fork bottoms when people overtighten the pinch bolts. A little nip up is all that's required on any bike.
