Agreed. If a water leak is not fixed AASAP a stain will be the least of your worries. Good mixture.

Use Tilex, I use that for water stains, any stains, counters, showers, toilets, sinks, fiberglass, ect. Works great!

Good information. I can tell you from experience that this works. I find that a 20% to 50% bleach solution in water is a very handy thing to have in a spray bottle. To clean the outside of the RV when it gets gray from mildew I find that one to two cups of bleach per gallon applied with a boat washing brush on a handle works great. I was relieved to find that I really didn't need a new paint job like I was thinking before I did this.

It works well Jon ! But I will caution/tell you, bleach mixed with water will become inert after 24-48hrs. It will become basically 'clean water'. I only know this as a tech in laundry systems for years. Same thing with mixed laundry detergents...they become inert after 24-48hrs also. So if you need to mix a bleach/water solution, mix it and use it same day. Just an FYI.

A timely video, just a bit late for me. I just finished mine a few days ago Chico. A difference in what I did was using a wet/dry vacuum to suck the bleach back out. I also wetted the bleached area with clean water and vacuumed it a few times when I finished. That step might not be necessary but I'm retired too and have the time.

I've been using this solution for quite awhile, but never seen this video until now. I do this for a living. you also want to try the germicidle cleaner from office depot, work's great. I was using this solution w/ 1/2 bleach & 1/2 water, but now I use even a better ingredientw/ the bleach instead of water, and it makes scrubbing alot easier and get the job done quicker. also make sure you use a terrry cloth that has a rough texture, your job won't be as hard.

My old RV [95 Fleetwood PaceArrow Coronado] had to have its roof replaced do to the rubber roof cracking and leaking. I used Clorox Clean up. It worked great on the stains. I used my Wet/dry Vac.too. You spray the product and then vacume the spot.

If you are spraying this on the ceiling...Make sure you're also wearing some kind of safety glasses so overspray/mist doesn't get into your eyes..and a mask helps too from the bleach vapor.

Had a motor home that had this so bad & could not sale it, until they asked me if I could get the stains out, and I told them I could. the motor home sold in a week, after being done w/ the job. before that it sat for over a year.

we had very intense stains...I used oxy detergent with a steam cleaner and every stain came out.

We don't have the fabric ceiling....ours is like vinyl, doesn't stain and easy to clean thank goodness, one less thing to worry about.

Great tip...totally doing this to my RV ceiling. I have an older one 1989 22 ft Vanguard...with peach fuzz fabric roof, roof leaked and repaired..left stain behind. Looks dirty and awful. I will give it a try. Thanks so much!!

It works like magic. Nothing got the stain out until I tried bleach and watched it disappear in moments.
