two things. Yes as you noted, put something under the front wheels to raise it up, make sure it doesnt roll off when you are lifting the car from the rear. also, if you remove one side of the rear suspension/knuckle, you can use the cutout there to move the 2gr in so you dont need to raise it as high

I doubt this car will be done by summer, mainly due to the financial side. I still have the other MR2 and do go up to the Salem/portland area for events. The PDX MR2 group occasionally has meets, I may try to make it to one of those.

Before the swap, the car weighed 2,800 with full interior and gas tank. This was taken on a road side weigh station which will have some level of error. I plan on weighing the car again after the swap is done.

to remove that harness from the fuse box do you just pull up on it?

I feel I'll have to do the same to my 5sfe SW20 pretty soon. Did your old motor die? Is that why you are changing it?

Yeah, I over heated the engine which caused the head gasket to leak. Also, there was electrical issues with the engine harness.
