We are finally getting started on the 67 Mustang. Today I am going to work on removing the rusted out floor pans. This would normally be a pretty straight forward job, but the previous owner left me some nasty surprises!

Great video, How much time did you have into each side?

Hey thanks. If I wasn’t filming it and fixing another persons mistakes, I could probably do both sides in a couple hours. If I’m taking my time and being careful that is.

I have the two full length floor pans from cj pony parts for a 73, could you recommend anything? I'm very new at this but im restoring a 72 boss 351 coupe.

I'm actually doing the same thing very soon. I'm not a professional restorer, but I can say that prep work is key. Make sure to check what is underneath anything you cut so you don't end up cutting through fuel lines, or wires etc. Cutting the spot welds with a spot weld cutter comes in handy. Be patient because it is a very tedious job. If you look close at the panels you'll be able to see how they were all stitched together from the factory. Mine was a pain because I am fixing someone else's mistakes, but if you take your time, it should go a lot smoother. Hope this helps!

Where do you find metal replacement panels for your cars (I got an e36 and a metal slab off the back of a truck in front of me fell off and got lodged into my fender well on the highway and I haven’t been able to find a replacement panel I could weld in)

Sorry to hear about your e36. Most of the best deals I’ve found are in junkyards and Facebook market place. Sometimes I’ve even had good luck on EBay. Another option is to check on Facebook for local BMW groups and sometimes you’ll find a bunch of people with spare bmw parts. Here in Texas we have a group called Retro, but they might have another one in your area. It’s worth checking out especially when it comes to hard to find parts.

The Daily Drift thank you so much I’ll definitely have to check that out I was thinking of going to the junkyard but I was hoping I could find a panel already off of a car but we’ll see I guess thank you
