Removing the Front end off the Donor Silverado for the FREE LS Swap

Today I'm removing the front end off my 1999 Silverado donor vehicle to make space to pull out the Vortec 5.3 Engine.

Dam g thanks for the help taking the engine out of my tahoe and TBH this has helped me with part of the front i have almost everything out already but the radiator and i feel good about finishing removing the rest of that. Again thanks so much for the help

I'm putting one together that someone took apart a couple years ago, everything was thrown in the bed. Your video helped a little but this one has the external trans cooler and is plumbed in the radiator. I'm putting the radiator cover on tomorrow and I wouldn't have looked underneath for bolt holy

thanks for the video but you didnt need to take the core support apart at all, the whole front cap comes off with just the 2 body mount bolts removed from the front of the frame and the fender bolts to the cab. so all you need to do is pull the radiator houses, a/c lines, wires, and fan shroud off. after that the entire front cap comes off as a complete unit with a/c condenser radiator and lights still installed

Great videos man. So glad I found your channel. I'm doing an ls swap into an 87 S10 Blazer that's already been swapped with a 350 (before I owned it). Any special considerations or things I need to watch out for off the top of your head?

S10s are pretty cramped, I've done a la swapped S10 frame with a 54 Chevy pickup body on it. We welded up some custom engine mounts but you can try converting the Small block mounts to LS mounts
