Removing the Megan Racing Street Series Coilovers from the Elantra GT

In this video we remove the Megan Racing coilovers from the Elantra GT and put the stock suspension back on along with new KYB rear shocks. This is the first time I have driven the Elantra GT on stock suspension in nearly 4 years! I know I will miss the handling of the coilovers but the comfort of the stock suspension is nice to have for the time being. Nice videos. You just reminds me of myself 10 years ago. Did all the mods, racing springs, bilstein shocks, exhaust, lights, etc. on my old mustang and 350z back then. And now only drive stocks which is optimized for daily drive. There'd be a point of getting tired of modding and buying a sport-oriented car such as my Focus ST. one thing of modifying cars is it's really hard to get the mods balanced.

I have a 13 GT, same color as your, I’m looking to replace the front struts, I can not find a complete strut with the coils, and plates. Does anyone know of a quality complete strut for a 13 GT? Thanks

I have enjoyed it also. I think its the factor of going full circle. The majority of this stuff I have lived with for 2+ years so it's nice to have a mostly stock car again.

It would not have gotten more money. Private party or trade it would have sold for market value. I got way more money parting it out than I would have selling it together.

Let's just say I wouldn't buy this brand again. The front was ok but I never got the back to act quite right. They did the job but I would try another brand first.

When you first put them on did your ABS light and steering wheel light go off?

No. You may have damaged a sensor.

Yes all Elantra sedan suspension from 2011-2016 will fit this generation GT.

Winter time does wonders to cars in the Midwest, North East, and Northern areas of the US. Especially where salt is used.
