This was the first video I found that was clear and straight to the point. Showing what to remove clearly. Thanks for this video man!

Nice video. I like the fact that you did not need to un-mount the front & back brake calipers first for this task,

Great video! God bless you on your journeys on the Sporty. Sportster IRON here, 20', all blacked out, 12" apes, and tons of extras, I do videos too, but nothing as good as this! Great work 👍 SPORTSTER4LIFE

No mention of getting the brake pads out of the way for clearance.

is it nessecary to remove the belt tensioners, i need to replace my tyre but i dont wanna mess around with belt settings if i can avoid.
@ramblinchris4003 жыл бұрын
Yes, as you need to be able to loop the belt off the pulley to remove the wheel. To help with re-tensioning the belt, you can make a mark on the axle and swing arm to get it close to where it needs to be.

I'll try to put a quick video on belt tensioning this week to help
@filmfreaken3 жыл бұрын
@@ramblinchris400 thanks i just had an idea of if i removed the axle, i'd be able to push the wheel towards the front end, and leave the tensioners in place - looking forward to your video, especially if your bike has the gauge on the lower belt guard like mine has, i need to find the specs for that from a manual too
@doug380516 күн бұрын
no, just loosen them and you don't have to take the nuts off.

Why does the fender need to come off? And yeah what about the caliper??
@ramblinchris4003 жыл бұрын
On my bike, the fender needs to come off to take off the front because the bolts are through bolts and there is not enough space for the tire to get past. I know not all are like this so not all sportsters will need the fender remove. As far as the caliper, I am able to remove wheel with the caliper in place
