With a knee replacement, you have to be up and walking within six hours. You have to do your exercises three times daily. You are on painkillers and it really doesn’t hurt that much. Been there, done that last fall.

definitely a magic flower garden with some flowers that are taller than her.. got to find flowers that bloom in different parts of the year.. I am getting there I have daffodils that come up first then tulips then pansies.. day lillys in mid and late summer.. marigolds in early fall .. just plant them all in one plot and its continuous flowers.. customers could walk through it and get ideas.. put a little pond with some koi in it and a little bridge.. mint and some thornless raspberrys for snacking as you walk.

Oh! Callie is SO adorable!! Glad to see Grammie causing trouble again!! I know how she feels about that lack of moving ... I pretty much had to sit on the sofa for most of three years ... and SLEEP there sitting upright. So I'm glad she is better! I'll say a "Thank the Lord" on that, "Now it's workin' again!" stuff!

I planted cauliflower ,cabbage , broccoli, Brussels sprouts,radishes, tomatoes two kinds beef and cherry ,bell peppers, cucumbers, cantaloupe , strawberries. May plant some potatoes.

Scrap metal prices... In the late 40's to late 50's all the railroads in the US retired their steam locos and replaced them with the new diesels. So many old locos were scrapped the bottom fell out of the scrap metal market to the point the scrap yards quit taking old locos. So even today sometimes you will be way back in the woods somewhere and stumble upon a set of rusty tracks & find an old loco. Some RR dumped them into rivers & lakes others just found a gorge out in the woods somewhere & pitched them in. There were no enviromental laws back in those days. !
