To be fair I played yesterday against a team with karma and lux with those skin, you can’t see shit it’s legit worse than elemental Lux. I had to reverse color scheme to see the skill shots properly let alone differentiate them in the middle of a teamfight

Skarner got 3 ability reworks but 0 VGU's before his rework, Shyvana got one ability rework, and funny enough Janna got a VGU from her old model with 2 ability reworks. As someone who has never given riot a single cent and never will, am I missing something? The Q, auto and W are all different from other skins. They just seem similar because of the theme/ color palette? I get its bad for visual clarity but it's not a case of reusing assets. The Ult and E might be similar once on the ground but Seraphine Q and Lux E have a completely different cast animations and particle effects as the spells land, they last for vastly different amounts of time as well, nobody is going to confuse the two.

yea, they're definitely similar yet different assets, same with the Lux E and Seraphine W. Similar, but you can definitely tell that the Lux one has more details in it. Also the Lux Q vs Ezreal Q, they're definitely different. I can't contest the Lux ult though, that's literally just a recolored ability. Not defending Riot, but don't come for them with inaccurate claims.

If you zoom in yeah they are a bit different, but look at the normal gameplay clips, in a regular match it will be pretty damn hard to tell if it's Ez's Q or her Q. :D

It’s so great that a big burly character that has an easily identifiable outline and weapon cannot have a hat due to visual clarity, but it makes total sense for a bunch of characters with dozens of skins to have matching projectiles so you know you are playing against a certain skin line!

Visual clarity only matters if your champion is unpopular, or if it takes them more work. They can always use the Akali hair thing as an excuse to make easier skin models, and giving Yorick a hat affects more people since Yorick is less popular than say High Noon Lucian. It's stupid but that's just how it is.

Seems pretty obvious to me that Lux's base skin/model haven't been updated yet despite her being one of the most popular champs because that wouldn't be profitable. People would be less likely to buy her flashy new skins with high quality fx, cleaner models and better animations if her default appearance wasn't crusty and awkward.

I'm talking about the times when it randomly goes backwards or sideways when you press Q. Alois and Adrian have showed this multiple times. Just seach "riven backwards q bug". It's supposed to go into the direction which she is facing (last mouse click) OR what your mouse is hovering, but sometimes it just does moonwalk.

It's OK to reuse SOME assets (ex. they do that with glitter, circle-sparkles, butterflies, overall decorative shapes, etc.), as there is only so much unique and new that can be created, but CLARITY is blurred here imo. I'm not upset about Porcelain and Faerie having a flower in her ult, yes should update the flower shape a bit - w/e, but overall everything feels too similar like Emperyan but that skin line is meant to look alike...
