No matter how much I understood it was kind of a game that folks in that round at least used to play with these rap battles and supposedly weren't serious... It's still just felt bad. I tried watching part of noxious just couldn't get into it. So today I saw that actually ran figured I probably should go ahead and here it whatever I felt about it. And when he started to laugh and say I'm really sorry about this.... My eyes brightened up some. A glimmer and then it turned into a full-on someone up and wishing them well. I sure didn't expect that but I'm sure glad it happened and if I hang around to hear it❤

Not gonna lie, I was worried at first that you were making a mistake stooping to his level - but I'm so glad I was wrong - because this wasn't just high class, this was transcendent. Ren, you've changed the game, again. This feels like a sequel or sidestory featuring Dark Ren and Good Ren from the Hi Ren universe. Dark Ren buried him, and Good Ren resurrected him, and lifted all of us higher by doing so. I feel like you just did this instinctively, but at the same time, it was inspired. Honestly, in my humble opinion, this is your most inspired track since Hi Ren. Enimen has that line about making "elevating music" but his diss tracks have never have never come close to this - this is truly elevating. This is an evolutionary leap. This makes all previous battle rap / diss tracks look like a child's fight in the schoolyard. That's not to say we can't still laugh and tease and poke fun and trade insults like in the first half - but the second half is the evolutionary direction we desperately need - so we're not just stuck in an endless cycle of fighting like children. In case anyone in the audience doesn't get it: this track wasn't just half mean and half kind - it was 100% love. If this was mean-spirited at all, Ren wouldn't have done it. He knew that making this track at all would only help the guy - and that's why he did it. If Ren had any true animosity for him at all, the best thing to do would be just to ignore the guy. Ren did this to have some fun and to intentionally give this guy the biggest boost of his career. What Ren gave him is essentially free advertising and exposure and a lesson in authenticity ("the new counter-culture"). P.S. Don't worry, Ren, you don't have to be an inspired genius mystic all the time - we are with you on accepting and enjoying the dark side and the light, the human and the divine.

Agree! We all act like unloved children fighting in humanity right now. So it is time to start to learn how to love ourselves so we all can grow up to be the adults we actually are, and love, help and care for one another. To be a grown up is also to have free access to our childnature. There is always time for play, in rapbattles or whatever. 🥺 I’m 42 and this thread made me appreciate my age more. I’ve been disabled since 2019 (crps, mostly bedridden, use a walker) and it makes me feel old af.
