Being familiar with Fred Again's amazing high vibe EDM tracks, I was not expecting an emotional accoustic cover but my bad as one should always expect the unexpected with Ren and he really pulls out the feels just busking for us all in his living room. I love it

I can only think of one artist that can mashup 5 EDM songs into a brilliantly unique acoustic performance. That one person is Ren. He has said “Fred Again” is one of his favorite artists, and you can feel that Ren really connected with that music on a deep spiritual level. He paid one of the biggest compliments to “Fred again” by paying homage in such a beautiful way and bringing that music to an audience that had t heard it. I know I had to look up “Frec Again” to see what it was after hearing this one and everyone on here should go check it out and show love to him as well. His music is deeply beautiful as well.

I have been playing music for many many moons. The sheer talent this guy has with his singing, song construction, guitar playing, and raw vulnerable emoting is for real, so incomprehensible. He has all the talents in one package. That's called life advantage.

I play guitar a little bit, not near as much as when I was younger and in a band, I will tell you this, and I don't want this to sound like I'm talking down to anyone that doesn't play guitar, but my fellow strummers out there can back me up......I think it's hard for those that don't play, to wrap their heads around just how expert level/top tier Ren's finger picking and strumming are on this song, then add the fact he's singing while playing. Ren is an alien, I'm tellin' ya.

As someone who can’t sing or play any musical instrument, this is why I really appreciate reactors with a musical background. Especially when they can explain what Ren is doing in a way that I can understand. It makes Ren’s performances even more enjoyable - if that is possible.

Same here!!!! I know I'll always love pretty much whatever Ren puts out, and I have songs that I like and songs that I LOVE, but nothing is bad. What I never thought I'd see, is Ren improving and maturing as a musician, I mean that in the best way, he was that good, I just figured he'd finely tune his craft, but this is clearly next level IMO, especially if you know Fred-again's music, and how much care and detail he puts into his beats, I hope he hears this mash-up, he'll truly be honored.

Every time a new Ren track drops it instantly becomes my new favourite. It’s incredible. He just keeps getting better and I think he’s just warming up. I’ve seen some of the biggest acts in the world play but none of them (and I mean none of them!) come close to Ren’s talent! In the last 13 months he has become easily my favourite artist of all time! I mean, I’m 57 for goodness sake! I haven’t been this obsessed by an artist since I saw a young AC⚡️DC play in Edinburgh when I was just 17 (oh my God! Has it really been 40 years already?). His talent seems to know no bounds! ✊🏼🐷❤️‍🔥

So, i like ren. But i LOVE Fred Again. Like, i listened to nothing but him for over a month. His boiler room set is my workout playlist. I'm autistic, and i am very bad at processing emotions. And the main way im able to just dwell in emotion and process what I'm feeling is music. And sometimes I listen to specific songs if i want to feel a particular emotion. Fred Again made me feel in ways i didn't even think were possible. And Ren just fucking broke me, man.

I try to play a little but ren is off the hook skill wise (all though he's obviously self taught). His biggest skill to me is his ability to take his audience on a Rollercoaster ride from grooving to dark to truth.

Excellent, heartfelt reaction to one of the greatest mashups I've ever heard. The last lines are heartrending. I've wept at a few of Ren's songs, but this one "kills" me at the end every time. He took Fred Again's songs and made them his own, living and breathing every word. (I'm a guitarist/singer who was in several bands over the decades. I can vouch for Ren's skill as a guitarist. 🎸 Not just technical skill, but having the ability to play with heart and soul.)

Old head here. I've been following EDM music for a minute, and I've been to a thousand "parties" (we were too cool to call them "raves") From the beginning, I immediately latched on to the sadness of the tracks. My happiness at the time came from the uplifting atmosphere and my friends who I've cared about. While alone, this music tends to put me in a sad state. I have a feeling that Ren and people like him might understand this dissonance that EDM music elicits.

I like your take on this and you very well could be right. 💜 I play the piano, flute, piccolo, tin whistle, and a couple other odd flutes. Still learning the Xaphoon (pocket sax) and planning to pick-up a violin, venova (another mini sax like thing), and trumpet sometime in the near future. Thankfully I can rent most of them first from a local music store.

Fred-again aka Frederick John Philip Gibson is singer songwriter producer from London, he's more known for his DJ stuff, very unique beats, and he's got some big name features, but he's a multi instrumentalist too, and very good. He's written for Demi Lovato, he wrote and produced a bunch of songs on one of Ed Sheeran's albums, and he just won a Grammy for a song he did with Scrillex for best dance/electronic song.
