@@progrocker2112 it’s because every word is noticeably powerful. It’s a bit like when you stop and listen to Town called Malice or similar, except that it’s much easier to follow Ren’s lyrics. Especially since stories seem to have faded out of music, and we definitely get a full story in every song with Ren. Many others have called him the Bard, and it’s definitely true.

This is a monster of a song to perform in front of an audience, both technically and emotionally. There's potential for everything to go wrong, I'm mesmerised by how well you did, can't stop repeating it ❤ Doesn't matter how many times I hear/see this piece of art, it genuinely hits deep every time

No matter how many times I hear this song, it never fails to bring me to my knees and reduce me to tears. I suffer from periods of severe depression, and I have that voice that tries to tear me down and make me doubt myself. That voice that tries to make me hate myself. I understand that Ren suffers from Lyme Disease, and was misdiagnosed and prescribed meds for conditions he didn't have, and that all of that factors into this song as well. But the beauty of this song is that it can speak to so many people, who are going through so many different things, and it can give them hope.

Ren, I work in mental health and have helped thousands of veterans recover from their trauma. I am 62 years old and served for 30 years in the Army and i have never heard anything as profound as this song as it outlines the parts of us that traditional therapy would never embrace. It is a shining example of mastery and at such a young age goes beyond all expectations. Your song the money game is also a piece of art that exposes the pigs at the trough. I will definately come to see you perform and i might be an old fart but i cant stop listening to your work. Stay as humble as you appear and it will only go from one inspiraing song to the next. I’m 60 and can’t remember a day I did not struggle with those negative thoughts and self defeating tendencies. I’ve come to an understanding with my Evil Twin, though it hides, lurks and generally tries to sabotage a good thought, feeling, day or experience, I know and reinforce that I am a good person. Every single day is a continuous cycle of realigning my positive psyche and to forcefully suppress my evil twin. Some days I have to claw my way back and other times I can nonchalantly dismiss the attack. Good days and not so good days but overall I have to thank my wife of 35 years for encouraging me to fight. I would have otherwise offed myself years ago.

You know, in the original version of this song, the Demonic side of Ren sounds like the more confident speaker-as though he’s more certain he’s right. In this performance, the Hopeful side of Ren sounds a little more confident in what he’s saying and he’s sitting up a little straighter. The Demonic side is the one that sounds less sure of himself here. Love both versions, and here’s to all of our Hopeful sides sounding more confident and sitting up a little straighter. 🎉

To have something you love, means having something to lose. I think that's what he means: whether it's a passion you're following, a relationship, or a drive to improve yourself, the more progress you get creates an unshakeable anxiety that it can all crumble if you let your guard down. That anxiety can cannibalize you, making a dream a nightmare. The shadow of doubt.

Thank you Ren for being so open and honest about your health struggles. Many of us suffer in silence, not either having the words to describe the roller-coaster of things that can go on inside of someone's mind or just afraid to reach out due to feeling like a burden. Please never change, you are more of an inspiration than you realize.

I recently watched a reaction (out of many) where the reactor pointed out a line that I apparently missed the first 100 or so times. When he starts singing, "So, Cower at the man I've become", it really hits home, as I see it, he is in his "Angel/God" phase and instead of the man "God" saying "Cower at the God I've become", it's the God, speaking to the "Demon" that he should "Cower" that he is not only God, but man and has the ability to become man. A vulnerable man. that says so much.

Hi, Ren. This style of singing, rap or whatever you want to call it has never been my cup of tea. Being a metal consumer, lyrics and meaning has been a huge part of my life to ground myself in the world. What you are doing here is art in its most interactive form and I love every part of it. Over the last few months I've found immense relief, joy and solace in Rens music. He has really moved me. 3 week's ago I buried my nan who was like a mother to me as she raised me while both parents constantly worked. Last week I suffered a week in hospital with pneumonia. Fluid and pus built up in my lungs. Finally I thought I'd overcome the worst of it. But today I got a letter from the hospital, they've found a growth on one of my lungs and now I've to go back in to the cancer ward as they're worried that's what it could be. I know it's a bit morbid, but I don't really have anyone else to talk to about it. As I'm only 32, I felt this would be a semi appropriate place to post it as Ren dealt with serious health issues from a young age. Anyway, even if nobody sees this or even responds it's been cathartic to let it out. So thanks to anyone that may respond, and thanks to Ren for bringing me joy in tough times.
