And this right here is the reason the "SickBoi" album went #1 in the UK! The whole record is amazing! Should have seen him perform live for the 1st time after treatment. I cried because I was so happy for him ☮

Ren's lyric videos are worth watching in their own right. Your reaction to that "Lights on" drop is ALL of US first time. This is Ren's favorite song off of the album. So many layers in each line.

Seven Sins is a sleeper, man. Lots of people don't even know it's out there bc it doesn't get as much air time as some of his others but once you hear it you can't unring this bell 🎯

my fav song of Ren's as a whole.. story telling, lyrics, flow switches and the production/beat is insaneeee

This is about Ren when he went into psychosis, he did crawl on the kitchen floor and claw at the laminate, if memory serves his mum found him like that. He also in his psychotic state saw god tie a noose to his neck. This is a heartbreaking but amazingly written song. In my opinion one of Ren’s best and boy what a start to the sick boi album.

One of Ren's BEST! Love Seven Sins so much, especially the many flow switches and the beat is perfect! It's a relentless song, so emotional, keeps pounding away at you and stops abruptly. LOVE IT. I know Ren himself is very proud of this song too.

He takes us through this on his Patreon page. He goes over how he put this song together and made the beats. He has became a great sound engineer and he uses Logic on his Apple. Likely lots of add-ons and upgrades. He worked on this song intensely and put his heart and soul in to it. It is beautiful. 💖

This song is 100000000000 percent truth. This is how it feels to have lyme disease @RenMakesMusic only speaks the truth!!!! I know bc I too have lyme and autoimmunity. I’ve had it 30 yrs. But I do keep my faith but sometimes hard. I’ve nearly died too & had an out of body too. I thought I was the only person that felt like that except God is the only thing that has kept me going. God bless Ren

So I’m from the uk and grew up very close to where ren did, when he says “god tied a noose to his neck and he jumped” he’s talking about his best friend that jumped off the menai bridge in menadywn (wales) also known as the suicide bridge. ren also suffers from Lyme disease, has since he was 12 I think and doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong untill recently which is why he spent 13 years in his bed, depressed and not moving, Lyme disease u get from ticks which is why he says “sick boy, bitten by a tick boy”

I have heard this song over 70 times now. I STILL bob and weave to the beat every time! "Bones are the home where the devil rests" (Lymes disease attacked his bones). "I watched him tie a rope and jump". He cried, begged, pleaded, and eventually gave up on and curse his god/god's (they were dead to him). He then, bowed to his new god (his disease) and begged for mercy..... His bed was both a "tomb" and a "womb"; that births new problems and ailments... There are many references to the number 13 also, I cannot remember them all. This album came out on Friday the 13th. Good catch on the Hendrix and all but, you missed the harder line. Forensic = For Ren's sick.

Finally you got to this one lol. I think my favourite Ren song, it's so powerful. Saw him live over the weekend at Secret Garden Party festival, he was incredible! Unfortunately he didn't do this one, but even with a 4 hour slot split in two he couldn't cover all his best songs. Hopefully he'll release some official footage of it soon, would love to see you react to that 😊 .

So bit of context the beginning of the song is welsh, as a fellow Welshman born in Bangor I can translate roughly to the following; Sickness are my teachers, my smile is broken My bones feel old, Here lies the body of Ren
@caralynn.3 ай бұрын
This song always gets me from the the veey beginning because yes, I have felt pain. Unrelenting, bleeding to death on the inside, wondering alone and awake at 3a "is it suicide if my immune system kills me?" His music has become so important to me because I know remission could abandon me at anytime, and I will need it to keep hope if I'm ever facing that seemingly unending pain again.

I freaking LOVE this song. It grabs you from the first second. I think of all Ren's songs this one really is his most raw insight into how much he suffered, but at the same time the music is so gripping and beautiful. The lyrics break my heart every time I listen and at the same time I'm in awe of Ren's musical genius.

Thanks for your reaction. Great how excited you were about this genius song. 🙂❤ Love that song so much as well. Do you now the background of the song 'Tears in heaven' by Eric Clapton? Clapton wrote this song after his four-year-old son Conor, fell out of a window and died in 1991. And 'The Rose That Grew From Concrete' is a poem by Tupac Shakur. 'Sticks and Stones' is an anti-bullying kids rhyme. (Not a good one IMO, but that's irrelevant.)
