@@TrevandErin and Ren made a short clip of Screech’s back story 1 week before the incident happended. It turned out that he’s been abused at his home (by his adoptive farther I guess) so he always been scared of coming home, that’s why he spend more and more time on the street. The best part of the whole trilogy imo was either at the end of screeches tale when he kicks in with "Richard was an officer who stood..." or violets tale where he comes in with "that's the sound of his fists..." musically speaking that is. Don't be quick to condemn screech think about his potential societal position. I read Patrick his best friend has been screwing the love of his life which has been tormenting his mindset and thought processes for a long time. Screech has been suicidal for along time and longing to die. He then bumped into jenny their eyes they met. When he killed Jenny he killed himself. He saw himself in his twins eyes. He acted on ferocious emotion. Unbeknownst to him and he ultimately and immediately regretted his actions. Compassion is needed here. Patrick was with screeches mrs in Patrick's when he was knocking. He knew this deep down hence the persistence in knocking. He then immediately phones his Mrs but she was busy. This certified his deep agonising suspicions hence he went out swinging he effectively committed suicide. The trilogy is extremely thought provoking. It's a modern-day masterpiece. Big facts hundred percent.

Even more impressive is that Ren released the Jenny and Screech songs two years before he released Violet's tale. He posted additional aspects of the story on social media at different times, little extra details like the fact that Screech's friend wasn't home because he was with his girlfriend. This indicates Ren was still thinking about the story as its own entity and not just a song or two, and he was heading toward writing Violet's tale in a very organic way. I would recommend reacting to "Ren X Chinchilla Chalk Outlines Live" if you really want to hear his vocal ability on full display. This guy doesn't just write, perform, play the guitar and piano, direct and produce, he can actually sing, and I mean REALLY sing. It's rare for me to find a vocalist who hits that sweet spot, but I get the same feeling from his full singing voice that I get from hearing Jeff Buckley or Eddie Vedder. There's something very unique about his tone that really makes him stand out.

This was another enjoyable reaction. Ren actually plays multiple instruments, has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. It has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. I would watch the official live music videos. "Chalk Outlines" is one of my favorite songs right now. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation. Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are also worth checking out; they are simply amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).” His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great. His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up), their busking (street performances), concerts, and their live recordings, are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” and so many others are equally impressive and really give you a sample of his vocal ability. Ren recently released his single, “Sick Boi.” In anticipation of his stay in Canada for more treatments, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. "Sick Boi" is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." as mentioned above, his latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another great piece of work.

Violets tale is set in London 2005. She was abused by her father and her mother was a drunk who knew what was going on but didn't care. She left home at 16 and got a job in a supermarket stacking shelves. She then meets a boy named Stevie who charmed her but was a prick. He would beat her up frequently. Her only defence through all this abuse was to stay silent. Eventually his beatings put Violet in hospital fighting for her life. The Doctor sees that she is pregnant and Violet begs him to save her baby(s) as she knows she is dying. She gives birth to twins, they lay side by side in the hospital as Violet died.. 14 years later in 2019 Screech kills Jenny after a mugging goes wrong. Screech then gets shot and killed by a police officer after Screech runs at him with a knife. Both Jenny and Screech lay dead less than one Street apart. They did not know each other but they are in fact brother and sister. They are the twins Violet gave birth to on her death bed. They will have been separated and taken into care.

It seems also something that a lot of people miss is that Jenny is like Screech and has learned to work the streets, while Screech is robbing people, Jenny is working the streets in a different way, at 14 years old... truly adds another layer to the tragedy.

Seems like your a fairly new channel, or at least reactions. I haven't had a chance to check your content page yet. I don't know a lot about him, yet, but I do know that he is TOP SHELF. I call it Performance Art, because it is so much more than Music, more than a genre, it's not quite Rap, yet it is. It's not Folk, yet it shares some similarities. He can play Rock; His guitar riffs and melodies are stellar with those Nylon strings he's using also shows of his Quirkiness. You just cannot put a label on him. I do know that he is a Poet (which I adore) and played in a Street band called:"The Big Push". So he is just so "EXTRA"! I just reacted to Ren & X Chinchilla in a duet called "Chalk Outlines", which is really great. Different, it's more of an original song style, but the lyrics are great. This is a Rabbit hole I will be exploring deeply! Great reaction, and hey- if I can ever be of any help, or you care for a few free tips, I'd be happy to share them with you. This story opens with a silent girl, Jenny, and a violent young man named Screech. Jenny had a silent mother, Violet. And a violent father. And Violet had a violent father--and a mother that remained silent. History repeats itself. Again and again.

My Nf cuz from ga! Well sir, since you asked, over here in Mississippi I haven’t come across nor do I know of anyone that comes close to this mans talents or creativity! And the funny thing is you haven’t even discovered his singing side yet! So chalk outlines is a great singing video and I relate to that song the most BUT for you I think you should watch his busking video with Sam and see them do earned it/ it’s a mans world/ and fallen just because yes it’s live again but not only do you get to see his voice and it’s range you get to see his live guitar playing again except with someone else singing and how well he does and freakin awesome it is! Then move on to chalk outlines and performances with his band the big push busking or concerts and his rap side is phenomenal man but I had a hard time keeping up with some songs because his rapping is so fast I’d have to rewind a lot to get it but I got it just took my slow ass awhile and I’ve been watching Nf for 8 months now, just saying! See you next time cuz

Screech, possessed by the devil. The line "The Devil comes to Dance" followed by him knocking on the door as the dad, the dad of the twins, who both took after the parents. This is amazing wordplay and lyricism

Jenny was hesitant/quiet like her mom, Violet. Screech was violent like his father. Support for the “nature theory” over the “nurture theory”?
@marcatkinson41492 жыл бұрын
Jenny wasn't homeless, he said she on her WAY home to sleep. When he says she found a place to sleep, he means she is sleeping dead on the sidewalk. Jenny and Screech were likely raised separately in foster care, neither even knowing they had a sibling, since the mother died, and the father either fled or went to prison for murder.

The great part about musical interpretation is that even his perspective doesn't have to be wrong. And Ren passively allows the prostitute perspective at the end of the song. Because you can interpret that she is looking for a home/bed to sleep in for the night to escape the night just to find it lying on the pavement as she's dying.

As for your request for other artists with a similar level of creativity, the only artist that comes to mind is BO BURNHAM. He's a genius, an incredible musician, and a comedian. He's popular on reaction channels. It would be huge if you checked him out. Start with his earlier stuff and move forward from there.

Jenny wasn't a prostitute, she was simply walking home. she wasn't homeless, just an innocent girl walking home. Glad you liked it.

Did he confirm that on instagram or something? He describes a brass. Slice the Rosy of your cheeks, Rosy is infamous for sex workers. Walk the same street a thousand times before. She too young to have a real job especially being out that late. And lastly she wanted to escape, escape the life she was living. I think you might be wrong but if there’s confirmation somewhere else I stand corrected

It reinforces her similarity with her mother in that they were both raped as children and as a resullt they both froze when confronted with violence. It's all circles within circles and feedback loops.

one thing that caught me off guard is that if jenny is screech's twin & they were born at the same time then why is a 14 yo girl walking the streets in high heels at night, that's a part of the story that had me thinking a bunch, cause screech is 14 so she must be the same age
@TrevandErin2 жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking..in high heels too
@RaelDanger Жыл бұрын
I'm from a rough part of the UK, saw girls wearing high heels young (about age 12) and going out drinking around that age too. The legal age is 18 but that's never stopped kids getting alcohol. That could be what Ren was alluding to.
@nguyenngoc-ee8lc2 жыл бұрын
Can you consider doing Ren’s Children of the moon? It’s a brilliant song visually and audibly and I’ve seen no reactor takes note on that one yet, it deserves more attention😢 And his song Dear God also has a really brilliant aspect of religious belief if you’re interested in religious content
